I just love that total f**k o*f over engineering - absolutely brilliant!! I used one of these many years ago at a rehearsal studio called The Clink near London Bridge - it was their in-house bass amp.. I had a Wal 4 string and a Tobias Classic 5 at the time and boy did they sound good through the Dynacord.. You have great taste in gear @cd_david, that's all I can say... Apart from GLWTS of course.. ππ

Cheers Chris.. ππ Time for a Sunday morning... .. 'post Hancock resignation, maybe things are getting better in the world? ' ... kind of BUMP! For this awesome piece of kit that won't let you down, lie to the country or cheat on the wife and kids whilst out at gigs!! Seriously folks, this amp really does deliver 1200 Watts, have two footswitchable channels and it eats Class D amps for breakfast.. π

Just sold an Epiphone Thunderbird to Nigel, aka @bumnote, and just like last year when I bought Nigel's G&L SB-1, everything went really smoothly with this deal too (with a little help along the way from @Chimike).. Thanks again Nigel and I really hope you enjoy using the bass.. As we said last year, here's to the next one! ππ

The bass sounds great Jack and that's some very impressive walking bass work there too! π

It's a great film and, both Olivier and Hoffman brought their talents to it in different ways to make it a very compelling and unsettling drama .. I'm with you on the dentist's drill scene btw! π¬π¬ Really liked Three Days of The Condor too.. π I watched it again quite recently in fact... I can't even begin to think how you were affected by that incident in the sea with the shark... π±

Not my cup of tea at all and IMO, that's such a pretentious video.. Makes me think of that wonderful Laurence Olivier quote to Dustin Hoffman when they were making the film Marathon Man together in the 1970s and Hoffman was using his method acting training to get ready for a scene by running around the block to be in character and 'out of breath' . Apparently, Olivier looked at Hoffman on his return to the set and said very smoothly : "My dear boy, why don't you just try acting. " When looking at this video I thought, just plug your bass into a distortion pedal, or go and play guitar instead... Sacrilege to say such things I know, but to me it looks like a lot of fuss about nothing..

*** Now SOLD *** Hi Folks Up for sale is my Epiphone Thunderbird + OHSC that I bought from @BreadBinjust before the Covid pandemic hit early last year. I'm looking for Β£190 or near offer for the bass and it's very nice original hardcase. It's a very lightweight bass, in used 'players condition' and is strung with a set of Detroit flats at the moment and to me anyway, it plays and sounds really nice. It used to belong to @stewblack who said at the time he sold it that it has a bit of rock 'n' roll provenance to it. As Stew put it: "Believe it or not this bass was once owned by Rich from Left Side Brain now better known for his work with Blueneck. " So there you have it! You can find out more in Stew's For Sale ad from 2019... The reason I'm selling this bass isn't that I don't like it; I really do... But, since buying the fabulous Sprackenbacker from @Paul S earlier this year for a late 70s vibe recording project, I'm just not using this bass, which is a real shame because it sounds great. Try out welcome in Potton, Central East Bedfordshire with obligatory tea/biccies on tap.. I'd prefer collection or a meet up on this, but shipping is possible at a push. Any questions, please ask here or send me a PM. Thanks for looking and here are a few photos.. Nik ππ

*** Now Traded *** Hi Folks Up for sale for Β£TRADED or near offer is this fabulous Rolls-Royce of a bass amp that I bought from Chris aka @Beedster last year after the first Lockdown. It's a Mesa Boogie Titan Big Block v12, housed in a fantastic Bronco case, and it comes with the incredibly useful 5-button footswitch. Basically, it's a dual-channel, tube/MOSFET hybrid 1200 watt monster of a bass amp that sounds amazing and is in fantastic condition and in full working order. I guess if you're reading this, then you'll have some idea of what this amp is capable of, but just in case, here's a link to all the tech spec for it. https://www.mesaboogie.com/support/out-of-production/titan.html And here's a link to Chris's For Sale ad from last year.. And a link to the earlier 2019 For Sale ad from when Chris bought it... "Why are you selling?" I hear you ask, which is a good question given how great this amp is. And the answer is simply that I'm not in a band at the moment since moving from West Sussex to Bedfordshire.. As such, my prospects of gigging are practically zero at the moment.. Plus if and when that happens, I have an Ashdown CTM100 and a Hughes & Kettner Bassbase 600 to keep me going. So here it is, a fantastic Titan v12 looking for a new home and some purposeful and regular high volume usage! π Try out welcome in Potton, Central East Bedfordshire which is about 10 miles east of Bedford and 4 miles from the Beds/Cambridgeshire border. Tea & biccies available as is customary in these circles.. At this moment in time, I would much prefer collection only. But if shipping is the only option, then I could perhaps be persuaded to take the risk at buyers expense and only if its fully insured. If you have any questions, ask away here or send me a PM. Photos below where the Titan can be seen looking mean & moody atop my SWR Triad cab and next to my G&L SB1 (both of which aren't for sale). Thanks for looking as ever... π Nik
