  1. Thanks Tomaso, It's definitely this one I approached you about. That time of day is difficult for me on both days. Will ask my son to collect for me instead . As soon as you know which day, please let me know. Cheers Nik
  2. Wow... How is this still even here after such a long time ? Great looking/sounding bass, and a great Basschatter too! Have a BUMP on me @Lozz196and GLWTS.. 👍😊
  3. Great little amps these... And a great seller too! GLWTS @Lozz196 😊
  4. Hi @Lozz196, Have sent you a PM. Cheers Nik
  5. Beautiful basses, really resonant and easy to play! I had a Tobias Classic 5 in the 1990s and it was such a great sounding and great looking bass. IIRC, the string spacing on these models was 17.5 mm at the bridge, but it was a long time ago and my memory isn't quite what it was... 😬😁 Anyway, GLWTS 👍😊
  6. This is true, Chris... 'Tis a beautiful looking example of one of your soon to be Exs, Chris. And thanks.. 👍
  7. That's such a perfect example of a 'Beedster Bass', Chris... 😁 Best of luck with the sale and Happy New Year btw! 👍😊
  8. Happy New Year Folks! 🥂👍😊🎶

And a Happy New Year to you too!  Looking forward to lots of interesting gear posts and - who knows - a bit of buying and selling action.

And to you. Let's hope it's a good one.

  9. That's a really cool looking bass @Grossmit... Sounds great too! Nice to see a copy of Marquee Moon lurking in the background btw... 👍 GLWTS! 😊
  10. Thanks Ped, Wishing you and all the Mods here a fab Xmas and very Best Wishes for 2025! 😊🎄🤶🍾 Basschat is very much like home, or a second home, as others have said here and I sometimes have to remind myself just how fortunate we all are to have such a safe, welcoming and inclusive place to share our passion for all things bass! Many's the time I wished that there was something like the Basschat community around when I first started playing bass in the 1970s... But hey, it's been a blast this last 18, 19 years or so ( has it really been that long! 😮) and I'm sure all of us here wouldn't have it any other way... Thank you 🙏 Enjoy your Xmas folks! 😊
  11. Just a quick message wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas Nik, all the best to you.

  12. This pretty much describes my recent experience with @vmaxblues, aka Stuart, when buying his Warwick Gnome amp last week... ... which arrived safe and sound yesterday, just in time for Xmas. 😁 A long-standing Basschatter, Stuart's reputation on here is second to none and he's always been a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend, as said above! Thanks again Stuart - a very Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you, and best wishes for 2025! 🙏🎄🎅✨😊 Nik
  13. Hi there @countjodius, At a rehearsal at the moment, but please can I take 1 set of these please. Will PM you later.. Cheers Nik
  14. Thanks Ed, "... the family brand." That really made me chuckle.. 😁
  15. Had the pleasure of meeting @ratman, aka Alex, yesterday and after about an hour of brilliant music and all things bass conversation, I came away with a very good sounding and very tidy Eden 112 cab. One of the great things about meeting fellow Basschaters is that you never know what you might learn or discover, but you can be certain there'll always be something over and above just buying /selling bass gear. And yesterday was no exception to that. .. So, I discovered that.. A CIJ Fender Mustang is a thing of beauty, Helix pedals are pretty awesome things and that both Alex and I have a Adam and The Ants connection through our musical networks... Small basses, small FX pedals, and small world it would seem, Alex! 😁 Also found out that Alex is North London's unofficial Dog Whisperer - I had Millie, our 7 year old Cockerpoo with me, and she and Alex are now 'besties', for sure. So, deal with Alex in complete confidence Folks - he really knows his stuff, is a great bloke and a real credit to this forum. Thanks again, Alex, and here's to the next time! 👍😊 Nik P. S. Hope you had a good gig last night...
  16. Just bought an excellent Protection Racket case from @edpirie, aka Ed, in what was a very straightforward transaction. Excellent Basschatter - deal with in absolute confidence! Many thanks, Ed.... And thanks for the case.. 👍😊 Nik
  17. I get that Chris and its not that diss tracks, or their earlier equivalents, are wrong per se, I'm just saying that I personally don't like all that stuff... My use of the word 'wrong' was in a different context, i.e., I think it's wrong that artists are more interested in spending their time squabbling with each other so publicly, instead of doing something more productive with the leverage / public platform they both have...for example, taking on Spotify who are ripping off so many musicians and content creators. Just my idealistic 2p worth...
  18. Hi Chris, I don't know about the legal ramifications of this and it's potential long-term impact on the music business, but the very fact that there's such a thing as 'diss tracks' in this world makes me despair at the state we're in. Compare and contrast The Beatles and Brian Wilson spurring each other on to make even greater music back in the 60s, to this pair of overrated, under-talented (if there is such a word) ego-fuelled twats! Instead of arguing about how big their reproductive organs are, they should be working together to take on monolithic record companies and Spotify to get fairer deals for all music creators. This sums up just about everything that's wrong with today's music industry and some of the artists that exist in it....
  19. I definitely 'hat' him and his music, Chris.. 😁 Just when I thought 2024 couldn't get any worse.... 🤦🤦 Horses for courses, and all that.....
  20. Hi Folks, Just a quick update to say the the ticket was bought by a certain @Beedster of this parish and the relevant donation was made on the Just Giving page. Thanks, as ever, for your generosity Chris! 🙏😊
  21. Thanks mate! And yes, I'm OK all things considered, Tbh, I felt crap for the first 24/36 hours, but am relatively OK now. Just a tad peed off I have to miss this gig and family occasion... Hope things are going well for you now in terms of getting the Travis home environment right for your daughter and her needs.. 🙏
  22. Cheers Clarky, At least they now don't have to have undergo that 'Uncool Dad' moment at the gig when I would have started yelling at Meshell to do a 20 minute slap bass solo! 🤣
