why not phone the guy at Gemini and ask if he can supply the cover separately, if they make the pickups in Wales then they have component parts -
All string manufacturers publish on your website the string tensions of the individual string and the set total and use the same units or both American and metric and agree on standard conversion figures from one to the other It would make it sooooo much easier to find comparable strings/string sets Especially important when a set of strings is £50+ Failing to publish the data to me means you are either lazy, don't care about your customers, don't acknowledge customer intelligence or that your strings are just whatever came off the machine that day depending on who was minding the machine or what the supply chain sent you in terms of materials and you don't actually know or care what you are making

Worth contacting Chris May for advice I would have thought. Good luck with it

What guitar is it ?; have you researched the type of truss rod fitted to it ?
-
So it sounded fine through the amp the next day ? Or was that just playing the instrument acoustically ?

I bought a fretless unlined PBass rosewood one, that turned out to be simply a poly coated unfretted board so had the side dots as per a fretted, nut cut as fretted and the rosewood is probably technical wood or Richlite or the like, but it works fine, plays fine once the nut was filed right, sounds okay and looks okay. And was super packaged in custom moulded polystyrene box and arrived in about 10 days with no extra customs hit. It was iirc £67

Brain bought my PJB 2x7 cab which I offered to him in response to his wanted ad, easy peasy transaction; asked the questions, looked at the photos and the answers I supplied, agreed, paid, received, let me know when it arrived, great comms all the way, many thanks

Thomann - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly - A returns saga...

but what if they are able to beat Andertons on price because they take Sire's 2nds or batches with more 2nds in to get a better price from Sire ? We don't know what goes on in the supply chain. I know that places like Richard's Guitars stopped dealing with many big names because of the quality issues and the distributors putting the onus on the store to rectify issues. There have been times in my industry when I have questioned the quality of the supply line when it seemed to me the Germans were sending the 2nds to the UK, and that was before the B word made it harder to return stuff -
tbh I tried that but used the embed link on the video which just pasted a load of code, I'll try to remember it's share next time, thanks for doing it for me

needs to get the nut off the end of the truss rod and fit a new one; shouldn't be too difficult, I'd try forcing a torx bit of suitable size into the remains of the hex and once purchase has been acheived unwind the nut BUT I haven't withdrawn the nut on a squier, I have done done it on a MIM and it came out okay. With the tuners and string tree off access is pretty good, piece of cardboard or the like to protect the face of the headstock while hitting the torx bit, you might have to grind down the bit a little on the sides to ensure sufficient length to get properly into the hex head Others will have better advice I am sure

Where are you, what sort of music do you play/want to play ?

Bass direct have stock/Cort UK distributor has stock and nice price on the NJS, please do the 4, many of us can't cope with the extra string, and really how many 5s are sold compared to 4 string overall.

How many were there in the end ? I wanted to go but there was no return train after 9pm back to here and I couldn't afford to spend a night in Manchester. Train would have more than doubled cost of gig, cheap hotel would have more than quadrupled it ☹️
