I sent a package to Ireland on Wednesday with DPD through Parcel2go, it arrived yesterday morning Package to the same Irish destination I sent out on the 13th with UPS is still at UPS LondonHub, finally cleared customs yesterday but no sign of it actually getting out of there and on its way to my customer; UPS international is a complete frustrating f-up, the only thing that works normally is the booking, giving them your money and collection, after that its a complete mess. I've got 3 packages en-route from the US at the moment, for the business, and I am not expecting it to go any better than it did back in January, if anything recent experience says it will be a significantly worse outcome. All they do is waste resources answering the phone and email, laying platitudes on you, promising resolution and delivering diddley squat, in my experience. The fact that the country manager for UPS is based in Belgium says it all.

depends where you are in the world, finding the control plate in the UK can be difficult but I'm sure @KiOgon has his sources

if you fit different value caps it does sound subtly different to VVT, if you wire it the modern way without the resistors the two tone circuits interact even with the volume completely off on one pickup so you have more variable tone controls, however finding the tone you like can be harder and remembering what you have as the mix of settings for the tone or tones you like can be a pain, I ended up putting a dot of white on the knobs for my favourite sound so I could easily dial that in. It's something like 95% neck with 20% tone mixed with 70% bridge with 50% tone, which is pretty similar to 100% neck and 40% bridge with 30% tone on VVT but a smidge fuller on the higher strings Look at the wiring diagram for the pink MIM Flea Jazz, iirc I put a '47' on the neck and a '33' cap on the bridge on mine

have you looked at the many threads, especially on TalkBass about using something like a Zoom3 to get an acoustic bass sound from your instrument ? eg acoustic bass sounds thread -

So maybe emerald ash borer beetle, which is decimating American ash trees and can survive cold and heat and doesn't have native to America predators or trees genetically programmed to fight them, and is now heading our way from Russia

Any progress with this ? -
Thanks for this, I hadn't worked out the bridging wire option on the switch 👍

I think the 106.5cm is external measurement, take off 4cm for the padding, you are trying to stretch it (compress the padding) by 5.5cm, but maybe Bass Direct reckon it's a good fit, A Strings didn't, maybe I should have taken the chance. Also having got the same bag but Bass version the handle whilst comfortable being cloth covered I'm not sure how that will last. 20mm padding is better than most cheap bags though. Gruv Gear out of stock everywhere at the moment, A Strings said they haven't had any deliveries from Singapore in a while.

I was going to buy the TGI bag with my Mustang but A Strings checked the fit and advised that it was quite a stretch and put a fait bit of strain on the zip, so I took their advice and got the Bass version of the same bag which is normal length and roomy, but not too baggy. It looks like the best available at the moment is the Gator ProGo, you remove the internal bottom pad ProGO link, I just couldn't justify the extra expense of it personally but it looks like a nice gig bag

link & paint them black with a flexible paint

If I wanted to have a Volume and Tone bypassed signal option would this be the correct switch wiring ? and would a double pole on-on switch be the correct switch, and would the V and T circuit have no effect at all on the direct signal, i.e. there wouldn't be any feedback through the earth connection, which would be through the metal plate holding the pots and jack socket, (in this case a Mustang, if I could I'd fit a stack pot for the V and T and the switch in the vacant tone pot hole) Thanks for looking
