Pedaltrain 2 with soft case in excellent condition. This is the older version of the classic 2 board they do now. Dimensions: 24" x 12.5" x 2.5" Velcro applied across all the rails. Board for a large board that never happened, I just want to take the smallest amount of stuff to gigs now. Price includes UK postage

Hi y'all, So I had this pedal up for sale on here for a while and @lee650 ended up buying it a few weeks back. Somewhere amongst being on a shelf for 3 months and getting manhandled by Hermes to Lee its stopped working. I got the pedal back from him and have had a quick test and opened it up. No obvious burn marks on the board etc. but a much stronger than usual slightly acrid smell. I'm guessing its the ICs/ Chips from my limited knowledge, it smells like when I've had Hard Disk boards die on me. Its passes sound when on just the controls don't do what they should. Im guessing the repair costs if I took it to someone would be enough to not make it worth it for me right now. So I've priced it up to cover postage and try and get something back from it in the hope that its an easy fix for someone much more knowledgeable about electronics on here. Equally if anyone on here thinks its an absolute gonner then let me know too! 😂 Cheers

Howdy Y'all. So I've got a Yamaha 424x that won't let me play anything other bass at the moment and whilst waiting for funds and the right 1024x to come up I'd like to try and upgrade the bridge (keeping the string through option) and the string tree, ideally to the ones you get on a 1024. Had a search online and its been nigh on impossible to find these parts. Anyone in the BC universe know any suitable parts to upgrade or where to get the Yammy parts from? Thanks in advance.

I had one of these kicking around for a while. It was truly a great bass and everything in your listing rings true. sustain was awesome with barely a dead spot. pickups were thunderous and the action went really low without buzz problems. Hardware was solid as a rock. And shockingly cheap for what you get! GLWTS.

Disaster Area DMC-3 XL Gen 2 MIDI Foot Controller Good Condition. I used this to control my Future Impact but realised I can get by without it. Can be used to control all your Strymon, Eventide H9s etc and other stuff. Has templates for loads of the popular high end pedals. Can control audio looper pedals too with a mode for that. Midi IN/Out and expression pedal input on the back. Powered by Centre negative 9V so easy to power.

Really Nice Cort GB74 in Natural finish. Loads of bass for very little. Hipshot ultralites, big donkey bridge with lockable saddles. Minimal wear generally to frets and a few bumps on the body but nothing major. Tonnes of control to you tone and 9V active/passive switchable, 2 band EQ 3 way coil selector for the MM pup to select humbucker or either coil and a mid scoop instant slap toggle switch too! I bought this to upgrade the pickups and have a project to do. Unfortunately its been sat mainly unused and definitely not upgraded for the last year and life has taken over so its time to move it on. I've also got a SD QP neck and Delano MC 4 FE (ceramic) kicking about. If you want them in with the bass to upgrade then let me know and I'll do a decent price for it all. I can post insured in a gig bag (not the one in the pick $) and well packed box for £25 Cheers

yeah spot on! thought about it and res freq of pickups ain't changed, pole pieces wire and winds all the same after all, Doh! so yeah the airy stuff loss and less smeary focus in the lows will be from the lack of acoustic transfer to amp. good call

High mass versus light weight bridges

Yeah, but at least here that a shared and safe space space for me to bore the tits off people. -
Indeed I went down this road. Separate octave/fuzz/filter to EHX BMS to MB SS to Panda FI. Finally found sometime this week to jam and setup my Future Impact and it is all that and a chicken Biriyani so far. The journey wasn't that interesting just needlessly long. I'll let you know when I start just taking a MIDI keyboard and laptop out with me to gigs 😂

So I recently noticed that my Yamaha BB 424x had got really microphonic and transferred loads of acoustic noise to the amp when tapping the pickups, body, control plate, anywhere on the bass really with the strings muted. gave it to my local tech, the awesome amazing Job Dickinson of Dickinson Amps in Crystal Palace and he did indeed diagnose the pickups as being very microphonic. So we went for it and wax potted the pickups. From a bit of research I know it's a bit of a mixed bag at whether it'll sort the problem so didn't know what to expect. Got it back and had a jam yesterday and it been cured!! microphonic noise reduced to about a 10th of what it was before So the trade off, and Jon did tell me about this pre-potting, was that the pickups would lose a bit of air and top end to the sound. They have indeed lost a fair bit of treble content which was instantly noticeable. Its almost lost too much by a hair, but the strings on it aren't the newest, I also dipped the tone a smidge before anyway and I've got plenty of pre-amp and drive control on my board to add this back in if needed. however losing that air, and I'm guessing shifting the resonant frequency of the pups down a bit and getting rid of the acoustic transfer to amp has also given the bottom and low mids incredible thump and focus!! and doesn't sound scooped at all so no Quarter Pounder syndrome. If you thought the BBs sound was massive before it's even bigger now! So all in all great to get it done and experience the results 1st hand and thou I had to trade a little top end now the bass sounds like a vintage voiced rock monster
