  1. Now sold too... does anybody know how to remove?
  2. Still for sale and currently seeking a suitable hard case...The Schecter original case comes in at £299 and the Gator T Bird case seems a bit of a risk for fitting and quality so I'll be giving those a miss. If anyone has owt that might fit the bill then give us a yell. Internals need to be 121cm x 35 cm
  3. Yes to confirm it's 0.3mm...That's why I'm not an engineer 😄 The feeler gauge says ".30" and I'm easily confused it seems 😆
  4. This will be going up for auction on ebay on Thursday night for 10 days
  5. This will be going on ebay on Thursday night for 10 days
  6. Now currently on ebay.....ends Sunday night.
  7. The last of my partner's basses to be listed. She can no longer play due to the onset of arthritis. 1999 American Standard P Bass in a stunning purple. My phone has not done the colour any justice at all. The serial number N8365118 makes this a model 0192202793 All fully functional and roughly set to Fender's setup specs....30mm relief at the 8th fret and 5/64ths string clearance at the 17th fret. All round great condition for a 25 year old instrument. There is a small amount of discoloration to the fretboard where the previous owner, my partner's stepdad had placed fretboard note stickers on. Only really noticeable under close inspection and has not damaged the the fretboard finish in any way. Can post to mainland UK for £25 but would my prefer collection in person or meet within reason Any questions fire away
  8. This is another of my partner's basses up for sale who cannot play anymore due to the progression of arthritis 2002 American Jazz Bass in Chrome Red This was gifted to my partner from her stepdad a few years ago. I believe her to be the third owner. Serial Number Z1049174 makes this a #0193400725 model. All working perfectly and setup roughly to Fender's specs .30mm relief at the 8th fret and 5/64ths string clearance at the 17th fret. More than 20 years old so some signs of use but all round great condition. At some point an a Fender ashtray bridge cover was fitted to the bass which means there are two holes drilled into the body. I have also tried to capture where the cover has sat on the body the best I can. This came with the bass but was never used. It's placed in position in one of the pictures however there are no screws for it. Can post to mainland UK for £25 but would much prefer collection in person or meet in within a negotiable distance. Comes with fitted Fender case.... Hercules stand alas is not included Any questions fire away
  9. As it happens I'm selling one of the above Schecters in Marketplace : )
  10. OOh, Forgot to mention, Just the bass and not the stand : )
  11. A barely used example of a very nice bass the was bought for my partner two years ago. Unfortunately real day to day life and the progression of arthritis has scuppered her plans for playing bass in any serious fashion. As much as I would like to adopt this bass myself it's really not my style or colour....I'm Mr. Boring Fender-esque in any colour you like as long as Henry Ford painted it. Apart from a slight adjustment of the truss rod and tune-o-wotsit bridge to get it playing a little more slinky there's been zero change to the bass since it came out of the box...still has zingy factory strings on it as it's had just a few hours of play time. Big T-Bird tones in a package that has zero neck dive, actual perceptible ergonomics and a practical bridge system....ooh and a fab slim neck too These currently go for around the £1400 mark...and that's with the newer less detailed graphic. The previous run that this comes from must have been the last that Schecter saw fit to go all out on the bling. Can post to mainland UK for £25 but would much prefer collection in person or meet within reason. Any questions fire away
  12. ....A sign of a bullet proof practice schedule....fretless bass combined with neat gin! : )
  13. ...combine it with the same amp that Jason Newsted used on "And justice for all" and you're set for stadium rock heaven : )
  14. Had an SM 500 for many years. Great chunky rock tones. GLWTS : )
  15. I converted to BBC6 around 2010 purely by chance...Unthinkable now but at the time the station was facing potential shutdown. Personal faves are Mary Anne Hobbs, Iggy Pop on Sunday and for both tunes and banter Radcliffe and Maconie....Crisps on the Radio...pure genius
  16. Yep, More of the "must get on well with people" thing. The one year that I was "pro" was spent on cruise ships in a 4 piece party band. Out of that year we were at sea for 11 months...and had one day off in that 11 months. We spent a massive amount of time in one another's company so it was best for everybody that a nice happy conducive vibe was a given because there weren't too many places to run to : )
  17. Had one for a while....great for the money, however anyone interested might want to check on the weight as mine was a backbreaker : )
  18. Hohner Jack Bass...Yeah I bet everyone on the forum was expecting that next : ) When i started on bass in 1990 these basses were everywhere...and at the time being a 15 year old with dreams of being the next Lemmy, they didn't really get a second look. Fast forward to 2021 and wanting something compact to fit into my locker at work and finding short scale basses not to my liking I took the plunge....what an overlooked jem! full scale neck, shorter than the short scale, super resonant, comfy like a stinky old pair of trainers...goes on holiday with me much to everyone elses annoyance...and good enough to gig : )
  19. Hi, If the Mojomojo is still for sale I'll go for it : )
  20. I've got through the first two tracks...Ok so the overall sound is (in my limited perception) more open and clear...and possibly harder in the midrange? However the mix on Dogs seems to have been very hard on Richard Wright as the keys are considerably quieter....between the two mixes compare the little motif at around 1:30 in Dogs immediatley after Dave says "easy smile"...it's almost inaudible compared to the old mix : (
  21. Great little headphone amp with instrument, aux and XLR mic input. I had three of these for a project that only rehearsed a couple of times. These can link up to other units so you can have your own personal band mix. I kept this one as a back up in case my little Vox amplug thing ever gave up the ghost but it's just been sitting in a cupboard for 2 years serving no purpose. £25 including 2nd class postage to mainland UK. Cheers, C
  22. That's brilliant, Better let me know some whys and wherefores : ) Cheers, Conrad
  23. Hi there, incredibly long shot however is the bass juice still for sale? Cheers: )
  24. This can happen on any bass it seems. My USA G&L SB-2 has this issue....weirdly it seems to be far worse in the summer and screws have worked themselves loose about 20 mins into the gig (I'm in Cambridgeshire...not exactly tropical) I use clear nail lacquer instead of locktite.
