  1. Rupert the Bear - Jackie Lee (beaten to it, but it still fits, I think)
  2. Long haired lover from Liverpool - Little Jimmy Osmond
  3. Midnight at the oasis - Maria Muldaur
  4. Not sure many will be interested, but you did ask! Band name - The Mason-Dixon Line. Initial line up was two-tone, unusual for the 60s, with Guitar, bass, drums, tenor sax, vocals and keys, playing jazz-oriented stuff, like Big Noise from Winetka etc, some Fats Domino, also Bluebeat, and the obligatory three-chord rep. Inevitably we broke up, leaving just G, B and D jamming, but a lead guitarist/vocalist without a band, who I’d been in bands with previously, and who thought we were still gigging, got us some work, so we recruited him, to make this lineup. It lasted a year or so, and eventually broke up when I left to join the RAF. As a post-script, I’ve been doing some remote recording during lockdown with the guitarist/vocalist who joined us...
  5. Well, it’s now June, and on June 1st I received a rather curt email from eBay telling me I could no longer sell stuff, as I’d not given them my bank details. I’ve always used one credit card, with a deliberately low limit, for anything I buy (or sell on eBay) online using PayPal if possible, and I’ve no intention of giving my bank details. For a start, my bank account is a joint account, and while Mrs B and I have no secrets, I have no right to give her bank details to organisations she is not involved with. Not being able to sell on eBay isn’t too much of an issue for me, as I mostly buy, and I’ll look for other ways to sell as and when needed.
  6. It was on the ‘band photos’ thread a while back, but it was taken in 1966, on the southbound carriageway of the M1, at what became J25 on a Sunday morning a few weeks before it opened. The cars belonged to the bass player and me. I’d forgotten to take my drum stool, so I was perched on a bit of pipe we found, hence I was towering over the kit.
  7. Doesn’t help the OP, I know, sorry.... I had an identical set-up, but in Olympic Red Silk, with a chrome Premier Orchestral snare-drum. Unfortunately only a monochrome photo. (Posted previously in another thread)
  8. No disrespect meant, but if you put your location in your profile, might it have prompted some interest in having it from you on this thread?
  9. Take me home, country roads - John Denver
  10. Splash splash - Bobby Darin (or Charlie Drake if you must)
  11. Love that song, thanks... Captain of your ship - Reparata and the Delrons
