  1. Same here, it’s not what I would normally be listening to but looking into Sean more closely I’ve ended up liking some of JM’s music
  2. I played a 5 for about a year to see what it was all about and still do very occasionally if a certain Bassline has any lower notes ,but that’s rare, so 2 reasons for me, I can do everything I want on a 4 and I play vintage basses which only have 4
  3. Another great groove here from Sean, you can skip to 6.38 for the Bassline
  4. Nice one ez, thank you, I think you’re right as the headstock looks the same, quite a cool bass
  5. Great video here of Third World and dancing on the floor, a classic track that I remember well, pretty sure it’s Richard Daley on bass But I don’t recall seeing that bass , any idea what it is, looks like it’s got 2 precision pickups
  6. I’m sure between us we will be able to help
  7. I’ve come across quite a few old ones while looking for vintage precions and jazzes on google, it’s an eye opener when you see the prices then and now
  8. As I understand it, Going backwards B neck width 8 - year 01 - month so January 16 is the batch or lot number 5 - precision Forgot to mention it’s a beauty bassbiscuits
  9. Nice one, I missed this ,really like them and don is a great guy, how did it go
  10. Hi Si, I don’t know much about squier but I had my nephews P bass neck in my workshop which wouldn’t adjust and out of curiosity I took the fingerboard off, like stub said maybe try and get the nut out, I’d say it might be a bit tricky, here’s a few pics that might be of use so you can see what it’s like if yours is similar
  11. We haven’t had any sugar minott for long time , this is definitely in my top 5 by him, sweet tune and this from around 1980
  12. Not sure I’d drop that money on it but that’s pretty cool
  13. Could be Sherwood as it fades with time but I’m thinking that’s a custom colour, maybe Foam green
  14. That’s cool, recently I heard a song I liked and it was by them, so I went down a bit of a rabbit hole listening to a lot of their tunes and reading up on Laura Lee who it says was influenced by reggae and dub , she gets a great sound from her SX jazz and plays some nice Basslines
  15. Nice one TRB, hope he sticks with it and goes far, my boys like the bass but they are not interested in playing it, one wants to play steel drums, great picture
  16. I think I’ve watched most videos of him on YouTube now, I can’t say I like all the music but I find watching him play and listening what he has to say really interesting, his playing style and technique is amazing
  17. I use the Hercules ones with the neck support too
  18. I’m liking this tune today, nice beat and i might start learning the Bassline tomorrow
  19. I like a bit of Sade and have been enjoying learning this, it’s different to what I normally play and it trips me up often, good one to play though
  20. Oh no, this is so sad, I used to chat with Dave quite a bit by PM and we would send each other strings and all kinds of various stuff , truly a generous and thoughtful guy, I’m gutted 😞 , condolences to the family
  21. I’m not too bad on a C neck, my AV62 P has one but I definitely find the B width more comfortable, which always gives me a dilemma when a nice 60s one comes up for sale, I think it’s because I’ve played jazzes for years
  22. Pretty sure a 66 and a 65 will have a 7 for jazz
  23. I did see that and it looks pretty cool, if I was closer I’d have a look, ii did notice the frets and it says it’s been re fretted, are they worn or just need a re dress
