  1. I dabble a bit with recording and quite surprised myself how well I managed it, I’ve got the new iPad Pro and was using GarageBand with an irig, but I upgraded to a focusrite solo which I found better quality, I tried other apps but GarageBand was easier for me to use ,and once I spent some time with it I soon had it working well
  2. Where can you get this eucalyptus.. asking for a friend
  3. Maybe try just changing the saddle screws first before changing the whole bridge, they might just be a bit loose
  4. I hovered over will’s number quite a few times, was you the lucky buyer
  5. For something different I’m gonna try to get this one down, this video by Bruno looks like a good place to start me going unless anyone has any other suggestions
  6. Yeah I saw that this morning, I’m not surprised , wasn’t me 😁
  7. I’ve been fortunate enough to get mostly what I like ,but I’d like to try some of the top end Fodera’s , just to see what they’re like, also a 1960 stack knob jazz
  8. Oh my , Will has got a custom shop Pino Palladino Precision Bass Fiesta Red in, looks so nice but I’ve just bought another precision, I mustn’t look
  9. Some nice tones here from Naoto who I follow, there’s a bit of slap in there, using fender flats which I didn’t get on with as they were a bit high tension for me
  10. Not entirely sure but have you updated YT lately , might just need update
  11. Heard this on my local radio station, great old tune from around 1980
  12. I don’t see any cons myself, I don’t really like the feel of rounds and I’ve got 14 basses all with various flats, mainly jazzes and precision’s, I’d say depending on what tension and gauge you like you can’t go wrong with labella , both these are nice strings 760FL Deep Talkin’ Bass Flats – Light 43-104, 760FS Deep Talkin’ Bass Flats – Standard 45-105 TI’s are good too if your after a brighter tone
  13. Thanks UD, enjoying your travels around the reggae world 👍
  14. Johnny osbourne has still got it, new single, Thomas Cirade on bass
  15. Exactly, if it wasn’t for that 😁
  16. Wow, can’t believe the price of this
  17. Not me myke, although I wouldn’t mind it 👍
  18. Bit of easy listening tonight with Morgan Heritage - down by the river
  19. At one point I just went through lots of videos with him playing so I can’t really remember who some of the bands were, but John Mayer did come up, there’s a list here but it doesn’t say what albums Bass Player for John Mayer, Lana Del Rey, Jason Mraz, Lukas Graham, Lady A and many others. I am an LA based session bass player. I've played on records by John Mayer, Gwen Stefani, Jason Marx, Lukas Graham, Colbie Caillat, Lady A, Lana Del Rey, Alanis Morissette, Robin Thicke, Idina Menzel, Vertical Horizon, Michael Buble', and many others. I have also played bass on many film scores and tv shows during my 18 years in the LA session scene
  20. I think he’s been the bass player in John Mayer’s band from around 2008 but I wouldn’t know the album names
  21. Never seen those before, looks cool 👍
  22. Exiting 👍
  23. My bass does sound like that, just not with me playing it 😁
  24. Easily done, I did the same a few years back,to be honest I’d never heard of him before then, on a non reggae front he’s become one of my favourite players, I think I’ve watched every video with him playing, I think it’s his style and the way he can groove that I like, this one is so good and I try to play it often
