  1. I know what you mean, I don’t like thick gauge strings, I’ve got 2 jazzes with d’addario tapes which are 50-105 , my normal strings are labella 43-104 and LTF’s on all my other basses , but the tapes don’t feel thick at all, especially when they are worn in , they become really smooth with a nice warm tone
  2. Cool picture BlueMoon 👍
  3. Possibly, I’d say it’s loud enough for pubs and reasonable sized halls but probably not for larger outdoor stages, I’ve never had mine fully up, really nice sound though, I’ve recently bought a PF50t and it has nothing on the V4
  4. Hi and welcome 👍, I’ve never heard of them but this one has a good vibe
  5. Nice setup ☝️, I used markbass amps and cabs for years and loved it, I also found Ashdown heads work well with MB cabs , my last markbass amp just stopped working so I switched to Ampeg ,and now use 71 precision Ampeg V4-B Big baby ll
  6. Wet lubricant can also soak into the wood and stain it, that’s why the harder ones are better
  7. It’s hard not to get a good tone from a precision, even with the tone rolled right off I still get note definition (on the fenders I’ve got) , what P is it and maybe it’s the strings
  8. Welcome Claudio 👍
  9. Which one?, I’ll guess Mel B
  10. They look great Ricky, love those ☝️, if you want some good headphones for reggae and not that expensive, the House of Marley XLBT ones have got a heavy bass sound
  11. I’m sure fender did a 70s precision with block inlays once
  12. Cruising through Chingford listening to some Gregory
  13. Could it have been Rihanna?
  14. Beautiful island, enjoy your holiday 👍
  15. Nice 👌, can’t beat a CAR jazz
  16. Beeswax would help but the harder wax is more effective
  17. Hi and welcome , sounds like the flea jazz would be ideal, they do come up in your price range, there was one for sale on here
  18. As some have said, candle wax or a soap bar is ideal for screws, especially into hardwoods, I used to own and work in a joinery shop and every bench had these
  19. Can’t exactly remember but I think mine did clip on, was a great setup back then, I played lots of pubs in east London with it
  20. My first proper rig was a HHIC 100S head with 2x15 cabs, I’ve never seen one of those amps before though , looks cool
  21. I don’t play short scale but what a lovely bass, GLWYS
