  1. Listened to one of my favourite artists last night, the album Six Babylon by Linval Thompson, it just has to be heard every now and again, it was released around 1979 and imo one of his best, really great Basslines from Robbie Shakespeare and Lloyd Parks and mixed by scientist, here’s a few tracks , both is the extended version .
  2. Glad it was an easy fix, enjoy your flats 👍
  3. Can’t say I’ve ever had any precision pickups tilted that way
  4. As mentioned, I would try just lowering the pickups slightly on the E side first, I had this once on a jazz, it was like a harmonic sound, it worked fine after
  5. It’s not really my thing either , but slightly off topic, I did read that when Bob Marley heard that song he liked it and wrote Punky Reggae Party, so something good came out of it 🙂
  6. They look like D’addario chromes if they look like this at the ball end, sounds like TI flats might be what you are looking for, they are quite bright as flats go , they were too bright for what I play
  7. I don’t know much about rounds but they look pretty cool to me
  8. Cool setup, and I like the vintage red cloth , this always looks better than the black to me
  9. I use his lessons sometimes, he’s very good on theory if you’re interested in that, I’m working through this one at the moment for something different to what I normally play
  10. Definitely, they’ve been my string choice for a few years now
  11. Have you tried alcohol wipes, I don’t think they will damage the case
  12. I wondered how long it would be before UB40 got mentioned 🙄, some of their covers were better than the originals imo
  13. A friend of mine always used to put Highway to Hell by AC DC on the jukebox, I would have thought that would be a good one to play
  14. Cruising through Woodford green listening to this
  15. I checked my Ampeg manual and I’ll continue to use mine , here’s what it says, STANDBYSWITCH:Pressthetopof the switch to turn the Standby mode on. The Standby mode allows the tubes to warm, or remain warm, without high voltage being applied to them, which helps to extend tube life. This switch should be OFF when first turning the amplifier on. Allow the unit to warm up for at least 60 seconds before switching the Standby to the ON position. During short periods of non-use, the amp should be put into Standby mode.
  16. If I’m changing basses or occasionally plugging in pedals I use the standby switch while doing this, does anyone else do this, or do you just plug things in and out without using standby
