  1. Thanks, enjoyed that, i like the trill she adds on Is this Love, great player
  2. Haven’t listened to rod Taylor for a while and this came up , it’s from the album called Vocal and Dub , he’s got another good one called, Rod Taylor meets Don Carlos at Dubstation, it’s worth a listen
  3. Another nice one from Clinton, Trod on
  4. I’ve had a few of these, they are great basses and a good price, GLWYS
  5. Pictures are essential here 😁
  6. Good news to hear he’s okay
  7. Amazing knowledge , thanks very much 👍
  8. Welcome 👍
  9. Nice, cool looking jazz 👍, perhaps @Bassassin would have some info 🙂
  10. Great one, nice voice and rhythm 👍
  11. Daniel Miller dropping a nice Bassline here , rock your bones
  12. Yeah it’s on reggaeville, massive loss , I remember him from my youth
  13. If it’s all working ok and there’s no loose connections I’d leave it alone myself, if a pot or something needed replacing then that would be the time to do it, otherwise I wouldn’t tamper 🙂
  14. Yeah they are just for string identification but I have seen pictures of people using them to extend the string, not something I would fancy doing
  15. Think you’re gonna like this one, George Faith around 1977 great rhythm
  16. I’d agree with everything clarky has said above, I’ve had a few jazzes where the silks went over the saddles and to my ears there was no noticeable difference, if you don’t feel comfortable trimming the silks back I think Detroit flats have no silks at the ball end, I personally wouldn’t go drilling out to move the bridge , edit, just noticed they are TI’s , maybe swap strings over
  17. Oh yeah very nice, how is it
  18. I don’t do FB but I could see some pictures, it looked good, they don’t hang around long
  19. I’m on this today, quite a few ghost notes in there so good practice
  20. I think they updated it with the ultra , I tried the ultra but preferred my one, I especially like the truss rod adjuster, so simple
  21. If it’s the right bass I’d say it’s easily done, I think that’s the key thing, I had others but I pretty much played one precision for over 5 years, then one day at a friend’s house I picked up his jazz and just loved it and I got hooked on jazzes, i like owning lots of basses now but I could quite easily if I put my mind to it just play my 71 precision and nothing else , it’s nice to be fortunate enough to have the choice now, back in the day money was tight and buying basses wasn’t a priority
  22. Great one, that was a big tune back in the sound system days, along with this
  23. Alain M has a few new ones on his channel , this is a nice Bassline, Blackheart Man
  24. It’s a tricky one isn’t it, not knowing whether it’s how they are or if it’s something else, i think @beastie had one a few years back, perhaps he could advise
