I’m not that familiar with the specials Basslines, that sounds good to play, fairly fast

Alain posted one recently on his 500/1 with flats, he normally plays a jazz bass, sounds fantastic, just thought it might be of interest 🙂

I’m a big Sandberg fan and can’t fault them, but I can’t say I like those, 🤔

I remember a long time back when I first got my candy apple red precision and I chipped the bottom, I found an almost perfect match with nail varnish, maybe worth trying to see if they do one in that colour?

My 71 P is fine and it’s not leaving me any time soon, but if it needed it I would get it done , I’ve no idea of the cost though but worth looking into I think 🙂

Yeah lovely, there’s obviously some history there and you need it playable, maybe just strip and a light coat of lacquer

I’m not an expert but if that was mine I think I would have to go with a strip and re lacquer as that is the way it was, I’m pretty sure on a 78 the headstock logo is under the lacquer so you can leave that untouched, any pics of the whole bass 🙂

Hi , if you click the quote at the bottom of the post it will reply to that post If you want to talk to someone privately you can send them a private message by clicking on their avatar/profile and there’s an envelope to select 👍 Definitely, I’d always used 15’s and 18’s in the early days to get the deep bass ,and was really sceptical about dropping to a 12in speaker but it really does work, I’m not bothered by weight but the barefaced cabs are super light, I can’t see myself changing anything except maybe adding another one if ever I need it

They got some great basslines

Always used to like dropping the Rappers Delight Bassline now and again

I used to use markbass 15’s but the BB is much better imo , at 8.20 don mentions the ninja here

Hi Marcus, I use the barefaced big baby ll cab , I would highly recommend it , it’s got really deep clear lows perfect for reggae and dub , with an ashdown RM or my ampeg V4B, it was don chandler who put me on on to the BB , he uses 2 of them with the 1000w markbass ninja head

Looks great, glad they found it for you, I’ve had a few sandberg’s , they are further back in the thread but never tried the electra, how does it sound
