Reggaebass

Was listening to Desi Roots last night, the album , Doing It Right 1980, which has one of my favourite tracks on Go Deh Right and then I came across the song -Once Again, which I’d forgotten about, it’s a great song and I couldn’t help wondering if this is the original song or if it’s a cover of another, @Mykesbass perhaps you might know? This is the song

If you listen closely his playing , note lengths and articulation on this is amazing, when I learn something I like to play it exactly note for note ,and it wasn’t until I tried some of his basslines that I realised how good he was

Haven’t listened to rod Taylor for a while and this came up , it’s from the album called Vocal and Dub , he’s got another good one called, Rod Taylor meets Don Carlos at Dubstation, it’s worth a listen

Yeah it’s on reggaeville, massive loss , I remember him from my youth

If it’s all working ok and there’s no loose connections I’d leave it alone myself, if a pot or something needed replacing then that would be the time to do it, otherwise I wouldn’t tamper 🙂

Yeah they are just for string identification but I have seen pictures of people using them to extend the string, not something I would fancy doing
