    I totally get what you’re saying and your right, I mostly play at home or studio these days and I don’t like any fan noise of any description, probably overkill for my needs but I really like the Ampeg valve sound , just me gassing for another amp 😁

    Really liking this which was released recently, Bitty McLean and sly and Robbie, produced in 2020 , and I think a new album is coming

    Some flats can feel sticky when they are new ,but after a week or two of playing it soon goes away, I’ve had some that had what must have been the manufacturing residue oil on them, but a good wipe down sorted that , all mine are silky smooth now

    I’m really liking this band called, Groove House Band, I also like Taj Weekes, I think they go well together, there doesn’t seem to be much about them but I’d say they are heading for good things , great drummer and bass player

    There’s some nice basses around now at reasonable prices and a lot more choice than there was years ago, have a look around and see what you like the look of and just ask here, most people on here will either have one or will have had one so you’ll get great advice, good luck with your search also welcome Jon

    That’s a great album, I bought it in 1981 and I’ve still got it, they based the album Uhuru in dub on that one, it had a pretty cool album cover

    I’ve got D’addario half rounds on my Yamaha and they have no silks so can’t be them , elites have Navy Blue (Red at Ball-End, so not them, Ernie ball slinky are blue I think, are they definitely half rounds, hopefully someone will be along soon with the answer
