  1. I haven’t bought any lately ,but I have been tempted whenever I see a Sean Hurley CS precision listed
  2. Very cool
  3. My mini P bass has a small body, I just use it for noodling on the sofa when I was looking Flight do a mini jazz bass , not sure if you could get the size to maybe copy it to make one
  4. First class work, congratulations on getting a beautiful bass
  5. Definitely, this would take some time to work out 😁
  6. Same here, just about anything I buy has to be all original, it’s just the way I prefer it too, some exceptions are i like early precisions and jazzes which aren’t always original but that’s because some things may have worn out, not upgrades
  7. Taking a break from the Sean Hurley ones and working on a few Robbie Shakespeare Basslines I’ve never got around to playing
  8. If it’s on here you should be able to see the sellers feedback, if it’s a new member or they don’t have feedback then I would only use PayPal and pay the fees ( not f&f as you don’t have any cover), I’ve bought lots from here and some things have been many thousands with no issues at all, only the people I know will I pay f&f or bank transfer
  9. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed any difference in sound from a higher action to a lower action unless it’s low and someone is playing hard in which case it’s noisy where the strings are buzzing, I play with a super low action and a soft touch, I don’t like buzz
  10. Spitfire do a very convincing tort pickguard but they aren’t cheap, nothing looks like the original ones imo but they are close
  11. To answer the OP, for me the biggest impact I had was switching to valve amps, I’ve had many amps in the past, probably like most of us , markbass, Ashdown etc which were all good but the valve tone just really clicked with me, it doesn’t matter what bass I use they all sound great , so the amp makes a big difference I think
  12. Any pictures of the fingerboard nilo
  13. That’s a lot of bass for the money, good luck Joey
  14. Very cool d g
  15. Very cool and that fretboard looks nice and dark
  16. Welcome mango
  17. Looks scammy, I’d report it
  18. Hi len, I’ve never traded but I’ve bought from them, I asked for more info and pictures of the basses and they did exactly that, and they arrived no problem, I dealt with Tom who was a really nice guy, I had no problems whatsoever
  19. If like me you like African Head Charge then this is worth a listen, Barry Dread on bass here who also does a lot of his own stuff , nice bit of playing by drum and bass at 17.50
  20. Yeah its a good sound, right at the bottom in the description it’s got his gear list , here you go gear list: Rega Planar 8 Turntable, Apheta 3 Cartridge and Aria Mk3 Phono Stage Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Generation Audio Interface Encoded at 48kHz 32-bit Stereo in Adode Audition
  21. I think we mentioned this album a while back before it was released, well I’ve been listening to it for the last few nights and it really is very good, especially liking these two tracks , Dennis Bovell has done a great job, I’m gonna get the bassline down to this one soon and a great production of silly games
  22. Doesn’t look like that bridge hasn’t moved since day one from what I can see, the neck needs realigning a little though
  23. How’s this one for a restoration project, don’t think I’d get the time or I might have considered it https://reverb.com/uk/item/87055306-fender-p-bass-1974-sunburst-player-grade-w-flightcase
  24. You’ve probably heard one jazzy, Robbie Shakespeare played a PRS 4 which I think was a 1986 one, it was one of his studio basses mainly
