  1. Loving that colour, nice one
  2. Just my opinion gregor, with vintage instruments some people like to study all the usual stamps, codes and internal pics before they make an enquiry, I myself like to see these, I think you may stand more chance of selling, anyway good luck with your sale, it looks great
  3. Nice one, glad you’re enjoying it
  4. Probably best I think given any issues the neck may have, I don’t know how long the auction has left to go but I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes into the 3-4k region
  5. Welcome BTB
  6. Been a bit busy this week and forgot to put a few up with Flabba on bass, it was his 75th birthday the other day and he’s still going strong, such a great player with exceptional timing , there’s so many to choose from so here’s a few, police in helicopter is probably one of my favourites, do you have any? Hugh Mundell Barrington Levy Sugar Minott
  7. A 64 neckplate should look like this , currently for sale on ATB
  8. It would be a good idea to go and have a look at it before bidding if possible to see what it’s really like up close
  9. Just heard this on the radio, great old one and I’m pretty sure Robbie Shakespeare on bass
  10. This is just my opinion, There’s quite a lot of breakout on the fretboard probably from a bad refret, I’m on phone picks but they don’t look level either, wrong decal and knobs and 1 intonation screw is shorter , tuners and pickguard look original , the font on the neck stamp looks right to me , will have a better look later at home , I think I’ve seen this jazz up for sale before
  11. That’s great for your son, I’ve got one which I use for noodling on the sofa which has flats on, I think there’s a few suggestions in this thread which might be worth a flick though
  12. Yeah definitely, they are great, the only time I’d get rid of mine is if a B15 heritage came along
  13. Very nice indeed rich, your fingerboard looks lighter than my 71
  14. Nice one, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, if you are I’ll give you the money myself 😁
  15. Maybe put out a wanted ad here, see how it goes, you never know someone might be moving one on
  16. Interesting read, thanks for that
  17. Hi and welcome, quite a lot of the songs I learn there isn’t tab for, I always look first and if there is it gets me started although it sometimes isn’t correct, I tend to just learn by ear and breaking it down into sections, there is an app which I find useful called Looptube which lets you isolate sections and you can slow it down to make it easier, maybe give that a look
  18. The V4B is my main amp, just my opinion here is that it sounds amazing, and the eq is very versatile, it has got a lot of mid and high if you want but it also does my reggae and dub lows very well too, and I’ve never had any issues with it, I’ve had lots of amps and still got quite a few ,but this is my favourite
  19. Very nice, congratulations and a great colour combination too
  20. Year started playing, lessons as a teen 1978 Number of basses: 15 Music theory: I’d say about 5 Technique: tricky one to score, maybe 4 Groove: I’d like to think I’m in the groove 8
  21. That’s impressive mr k
  22. I don’t use any pedals or effects myself and never have, I’m just valve amp-cab and bass, I don’t really know anyone else who plays reggae using any either, don talks here about how to get the scientist sound you sometimes hear, I seem to remember @SumOne and myself talking about it once
  23. The ampeg PF50T is a lovely thing, not sure if it’s what you’re looking for but they are great for home practice and small venues, and mine is silent with no fan
