  1. That’s a good shout, it would compact much better than most other tape
  2. Cruising through Abridge listening to some black uhuru
  3. It’s very thin but strong , I wrapped it round a few times until they were snug and screwed the tuners back in place, it was quite solid after, the tape is really cheap so it’s worth a try
  4. I’ve used the PTFE tape before on a jazz I bought and the previous owner had changed the tuners which were very slightly smaller , I wrapped the ferrules a few times with the tape very tightly , it’s quite strong, and it was fine, definitely worth a try 👍
  5. Do they have any silks at the black ball end
  6. I bought the Ampeg classic preamp pedal just to play about with , and was really surprised how close in sound it is to my ampeg amp, they aren’t overly expensive either
  7. Wasn’t there one for sale here once with the white fretboard
  8. I had one of these, they put out a really nice sound and really deep bass, I’ve still got the 300 version, great amp, GLWYS
  9. 1963, very cool, can I see the whole bass 🙂
  10. I play with a really low action and occasionally I’ve had to add a shim , many say that if it was built properly you wouldn’t have to do it 🙄, but depending on your set up preference I don’t see anything wrong, stewmac sell them
  11. I can only get activity that I’ve previously posted in , anyone else 🙂
  12. All general activity is blank for me
  13. Nice one ead, such a good colour
  14. Cruising through Bethnal Green listening to barrington, such a great bassline
  15. I had this when I bought a used set and the G was too short for my jazz, I messaged labella who passed me on to an outlet in the US , the string was only £12 but postage was £16, so I just bought a new set
  16. Really getting into some jimmy London lately, this one is growing on me, it’s on the album Welcome to my world
  17. I’ve got the jazz elite and I always unplug when not using it, this is from the fender owners manual, Fender® offers basses with passive electronics (no batteries) and basses with active (battery-powered) preamps. Depending on the instrument, your active bass may have either a 9-volt (one-battery) system, or an 18-volt (two-battery) system. Visit the Knowledge Base in the Support section of www.fender.com, where the service diagrams link presents detailed information on more than 250 Fender instrument models. Typical battery life for both systems is approximately 600 hours of playing time. All Fender basses with active preamps are equipped with switching jacks that engage the battery when a cable is plugged into the jack. To maximize battery life, unplug your cable from the bass when not playing the instrument.
