    Just my opinion and because I’m a fender fan boy, but for what the modern vintage cost I’d be looking at the AVRI models like the 62/63 or earlier, if you can find one, I’ve been looking for a while and there’s not many around

    I also like Robbie’s early PRS with the 3 pickups, I nearly bought one last year

    Nothing’s changed at all really, blues and reggae from a very young age, enjoyed the house and jungle period but always reggae and dub to this day

    There’s a magnum lV on gumtree but it’s different to the one above , it’s got an eq on it

    If you fancy listening to one of the lesser well known artists I can recommend checking out Delton Screechie, one album is Living In The Ghetto Showcase, there’s another suffering in the ghetto in dub but there’s not much on YouTube, here’s a couple .

    I happened to watch Summer Holiday with cliff Richard yesterday (I know I know 😁) anyway ,the film was 1963 and I noticed the red precision being played by one of the shadows , such a nice looking P , not sure if it’s the original colour I haven’t done any research but a cool precision

    Thanks very much Chili, great advice, the reason I asked about the pino is I was offered one at a good price, I’m not very familiar with the model but it sold before I got a chance to try it

    Very nice, glad you got it sorted, just curious, do you notice much difference in sound with your changed pickups

    It’s good to have a project now and again to work on, if you like the bass and fancy restoring it are you able to get the seller to accept a lower price given the work you have to do , looks quite cool

    Anyone had any experience with the custom shop pino precision, I don’t particularly like pino but the bass looks quite nice, how do they sound, cheers
