  1. Been enjoying turning up the volume to this classic lately
  2. I’m happy to, and expect to do a basic setup on a bass I’ve ordered because I play with a very low action, but if the nut needs work or replacing then to me that’s a manufacturer fault and should be returned and refunded, or exchanged for one your happy with
  3. Stunner, that fingerboard looks so nice 👌
  4. Out of curiosity, what areas would you say
  5. Perhaps 54 was the transition time
  6. It’s the only book I’ve memorised 😁
  7. According to my book the earliest saddles were made from pressed fibres ,and steel saddles replaced them in 1954, also the bass serial number was stamped on the early bridge plate
  8. You could try asking here, there’s some very knowledgeable people there that might be able to help , and some good reading too
  9. Looks the right shape to me but it’s hard to tell, here’s a genuine one from Andy Baxter if it’s any help
  10. Dub version of Waricka hill, great melodica by Pablo
  11. I like the heavy ones they are more stable, blum hinges are on most kitchens and wardrobes
  12. Nice job Si, the pillar drill looks good, I use mine occasionally for Blum hinges, great space you got there
  13. You’ll be fine, just be sensible where you leave your gear, same as anywhere really
  14. I don’t know many Elvis Costello songs, but I remember when this came out and I always liked it , it’s a great Bassline to play
  15. Im not a massive fan of maple boards on precision’s (even though I’ve got a few) I prefer rosewood now , but there’s a few early to mid 70s ones for sale at the moment that look quite nice, and this one looks in very good condition https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155213540116?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6eggpscVQGW&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=1wDkd4CjTIi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  16. Welcome back BA 👍
  17. My 62RI jazz came with the covers ,mutes ,and screws, and a template for the screw holes if you wanted to fit them, the holes were already in the pickguard for the neck pickup but not drilled into the body , I didn’t fit mine as I preferred it without them
  18. I saw that one, I think it’s been relisted a few times, looks okay but it’s hard to tell without playing it, the colour is ageing nicely
  19. I’ve got a soft spot for Olympic white basses, especially jazzes, I’ve had so many and my favourite at the moment is a 2014 US one, but when it comes to precision’s I think the sunburst with tort and rosewood just looks so good, I’ve been looking for a US 62 P for quite a while, there seems to be very few around
