  1. That was mine too, it served me well and I’ve still got it and it still works, it hangs on my summerhouse wall now
  2. I don’t think I’ve ever done that on any bass 😁
  3. There’s a few suggestions here https://www.talkbass.com/threads/freddie-washington-strings.1443056/
  4. Probably one of my favourite funky Basslines and a great song, I attempt to play it but that’s about it 😁, I did read that he played a 72 precision with rounds , could the red silks be labella ?
  5. I was always taught to play 1fpf so I’ve pretty much always done that, but there’s no strict rules , if your finding it easier to play that way , then do it, you can always fine tune your technique when your more comfortable , most of all just enjoy what you’re playing 🙂
  6. This track is best played loud for maximum bass , mash you down by Cornell Campbell
  7. I’ve done it myself, I replied to a 10 year old thread without noticing the date, and yes the bass was sold 😁
  8. That looks great, really nice job 👍
  9. Yeah I like a bit of Alborosie, this is my son’s favourite song and a black Uhuru track you don’t hear very often
  10. The new one from Don Chandler , great Basslines
  11. Peter Tosh from the album Dread or Alive, Robbie on bass
  12. Labella LTF’s on all my jazzes, nice tension and sound for what I play, if you want a bit more zing I would suggest TI’s
  13. Lloyd Robinson cus-cus , great one to play
  14. I did think that but the jazz knobs are too far away , or is it for a different bass 🙂
  15. I’ve seen those before, I’ve got no idea what the holes are for
