    Jazz isn’t something I play but I would say flats would go well, they aren’t as dull as some say they are, just a bit warmer sounding

    The 75 onward 3 bolt fender neck plate also had the micro tilt screw, and hasn’t the Marcus miller got one

    Really great strings mr V, over the years I’ve slowly changed nearly all my basses to those, lovely tone and feel once they are played in, and they suit what I play

    The fact that it’s still here after 60 years and in great condition and all original must say something about the build quality, I doubt it’s been stored under the bed that long

    When I was on my string quest quite a few years back, they were my least favourite strings , quite high tension and they had a metallic sound, I played them solid for about 3 months and they never altered, I gave them away in the end

    I’ve nearly always used flats, years ago I did try rounds , it wasn’t so much the sound I didn’t like, it was the rough feel I didn’t like, a few basses I bought lately had rounds and I gave them another try but I took them off after about 5 minutes, they were amazing for slap but just not for me 🙂
