  1. Pretty sure flabba and Robbie used the XL 2 or L 2 , I’ve got the hohner B2 -A fitted with flats and in active mode it really does the lows well, in fact I have to back the bass off a bit, I’ve never tried the steinberger but I was advised by a few friends that the hohner had better pickups, maybe others can advise on that one 🙂
  2. I’m really liking this track from the Abyssinians, it’s a nice Bassline which I’m going to work on the weekend
  3. That looks great, how different does it sound to the original loom
  4. Thanks Rhys, it’s probably one of the nicest sounding amps I’ve had 🙂
  5. Cruising through shoreditch listening to some Bernard Collins
  6. I’ve had quite a few 62RIs with the grounding strip and they were just for show , as there was a wire under the bridge, one I bought the strip was in a separate bag
  7. all I’ve ever done really is go from the bass to the amp, there’s not many effects that work for reggae and dub, occasionally I’ll have a little play with the sansamp tech 21, but now I’m all valve into a barefaced BB I don’t need anything else

    HI.

    Welcome evan 👍
  9. A limelight P with a jazz neck and labella flats, it doesn’t get much better 👌
  10. Congrats Ander 👍, I don’t think you will be disappointed, that’s one of the nicest limelight’s I’ve seen, if I wasn’t looking at something else I would have bought it myself 🙂
  11. The Tony collection 😂, they are some really great albums you got there , I had the Gregory isaacs one years back and literally wore it out
  12. Very nice bridgy , glad you got what you wanted, is that a BC straplock i spy there 😁
  13. I was playing some Tristian Palmer last night and i noticed in the version at about 7.45 it sounds like that effect is being used , it sounds really good and works well with this Bassline
  14. Welcome kode 👍,I found TI flats quite bright as flats go, that doesn’t sound right to me, maybe a dud string, foam under the strings at the bridge will do the trick
  15. If it’s something you’ve wanted for a long time, you just have to go for it, congrats, it’s lovely
