Reggaebass

I’ve always liked the melodica, inspired really by Augustus Pablo but I’ve never got around to buying one, I’m watching a vintage one on eBay at the moment, I play a bit of piano so I’m hoping that will help although the melodica is in a different position, apart from that it’s only bass for me 🙂

The only safe way I’d suggest is to fix a timber batten/plate using cavity toggles and maybe a dab of no nails too, then fit your hanger to that 🙂

A good learning curve for me about how the bass went together was stripping a few to have the body re sprayed , I had to put them back together 🙂

I used to pay for all my basses to be set up and the main requirement I asked for was for the action to be as low as possible, very few came back lower than 2.5 - 3mm , and I ended up doing it myself ,so I now do all my own setup’s with the exception of fretwork or work on the nut, which I’ve never had to do

I think with the rm all they could do is brush the dust off the fan and check that no wires are loose, that’s all Dave did to my older ABM, and he said it didn’t even need doing 🙂
