    They are very well made basses, and play surprisingly good, the pickups are quite powerful and they balance well

    They aren’t ply, and yours still has the truss rod cover which is normally missing , solid brass nut and brass dot markers ,not sure if the knobs are original, nice 👍

    I see reggae on the Heath was cancelled where culture club and David rodigan were due to appear , apparently due to ground movement and the stage moving , there was a good line up there too

    This is how I’ve played for years ,but I wouldn’t say that I’m in the “plonky “ brigade, perhaps your style of playing is changing

    They are good strings, not very expensive but great value for money 👍

    I still use a LB30 with an Ashdown 115 cab for home use and it sounds great, but I found the MB cabs sounded better basswise for reggae and dub , I suppose the best way to describe it would be warmer

    I had Ashdown cabs with Ashdown heads for years, then switched to markbass heads with the same cabs, then bought 2x15 NY markbass cabs with markbass heads, now I use Ashdown RM500 head with markbass cabs, if that makes sense 😁, but I’m now contemplating a CTM 100 with MB cabs
