  1. Sounds like a bass to me , although the cool ruler did use a lot of synth Basslines on lots of his albums, also I’m sure that Robbie Shakespeare played most of the lines in the early days 🙂
  2. Hey waddo, I’ve got a spare Wilkinson bridge which I bought just for the screws, but I never used , your welcome to it if you want it , and I think I’ve got some neck/body screws in my workshop you can have, let me know and I’ll pop them in the post 🙂
  3. Don’t think we’ve had this one from Johnny Clarke nice song
  4. Nice one Paul, I remembered there was a thread but I couldn’t find it 👍
  5. I made the mistake of buying fender flats to try, if you like hi tension you will like them, I didn’t 🙂
  6. If you’ve got some time have a listen to this , it’s the Asham band , they are a Belgian reggae band who I follow, their bass player is Alain, who you may know from YouTube, he’s a great reggae player and they are backing Linval Thompson , I’ve stolen some of the Basslines 😁
  7. I like the groove on this and one from 1983, stone, great Bassline
  8. @greavesbass, if you fancy playing some mellow tunes, check out some of Gregory isaacs 🙂
  9. If you just want a decent sat at a reasonable price I’d recommend these, they are very good for the money 👍
  10. I’m just driving through Wanstead flats on my way to the Olympic park with this on
  11. Looks a bit overboard to me, I wouldn’t mind betting it’s glued as well 😁
  12. I haven’t ventured that far, I’m not sure I will 😁
  13. I’ve posted it before but, Another cover I like is this one by ziggy, great Bassline
  14. That’s a great song and this cover by Rafael really grooves
  15. I bought some bass mutes from Colin and things couldn’t be better, great communication and they arrived a few days later, pleasure to deal with, many thanks Colin, cheers Tony 👍
  16. The neighbours are probably enjoying it 😁, A few more Marley tracks that roll for me and from the great album confrontation
  17. Rule of thumb is 2.5mm drill bit for no6 screws and 3mm drill bit for no8 screws, as Hellzero says go with 2.5 , if it feels too tight open them up to 3mm
  18. That will be fine, you are away from the rod and there’s space there, be sure to do a pilot a hole for the screw 👍
  19. They definitely feel and sound different BA, if you’re anywhere near me you’re welcome to borrow one to try 👍
  20. What about one of these
  21. I really can’t watch either of them
  22. Have you thought about a jazz , or is the nut too narrow, my P was my go to bass for years but now I prefer jazzes, it’s nice to have both 🙂
