Great one mcnach, a little claim to fame that I have is that I met jimmy and all the band at the after party at the O2, such a great bunch of guys and very humble , wonderful musicians

Great discovery Lozz, they are a very good band and have a certain style I’d say, you probably have heard some of their earlier stuff, they had an album out in around 78 called Handsworth Revolution which was pretty big, the bass player then was Ronald McQueen who Was quite a technical player I’d say, it’s worth a listen if you haven’t already, I like this track

I can’t tell from that picture posted, I haven’t looked it up though

Pretty sure natural finish was an option in the early 70s, I think it was in the 72 catalog so it could be the original finish, but €12 k is way steep

If you sent me a bass with a low action I’d be over the moon, even if they wanted it higher all they needed to do is raise it a touch, sounds to me like they just wanted an excuse to return it

I’ve had sandbergs and they are superb instruments, especially the build quality, I had a custom one made too which was very nice, mine all setup with a really low action and lovely necks and a great sound , I would say the only reason I didn’t totally gel with them was because I always reverted back to my fenders, nothing to do with the basses themselves, it’s just me, I was tempted by the Ida Nielsen signature but I don’t think I’d stick with it

Don’t think limelight did this style of bass did they, isn’t it just precisions and jazzes
