  1. Very cool and that fretboard looks nice and dark
  2. Welcome mango
  3. Looks scammy, I’d report it
  4. Hi len, I’ve never traded but I’ve bought from them, I asked for more info and pictures of the basses and they did exactly that, and they arrived no problem, I dealt with Tom who was a really nice guy, I had no problems whatsoever
  5. If like me you like African Head Charge then this is worth a listen, Barry Dread on bass here who also does a lot of his own stuff , nice bit of playing by drum and bass at 17.50
  6. Yeah its a good sound, right at the bottom in the description it’s got his gear list , here you go gear list: Rega Planar 8 Turntable, Apheta 3 Cartridge and Aria Mk3 Phono Stage Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Generation Audio Interface Encoded at 48kHz 32-bit Stereo in Adode Audition
  7. I think we mentioned this album a while back before it was released, well I’ve been listening to it for the last few nights and it really is very good, especially liking these two tracks , Dennis Bovell has done a great job, I’m gonna get the bassline down to this one soon and a great production of silly games
  8. Doesn’t look like that bridge hasn’t moved since day one from what I can see, the neck needs realigning a little though
  9. How’s this one for a restoration project, don’t think I’d get the time or I might have considered it https://reverb.com/uk/item/87055306-fender-p-bass-1974-sunburst-player-grade-w-flightcase
  10. You’ve probably heard one jazzy, Robbie Shakespeare played a PRS 4 which I think was a 1986 one, it was one of his studio basses mainly
  11. Really like that, it looks fantastic, it’s an amp that I wasn’t Really aware of to be honest and I haven’t seen many of them , there’s some good pictures and info in this article , I definitely don’t need any more amps but I’d keep an eye out for one of them
  12. Very nice, congrats, I like the ones with the stripe
  13. To my ears 18s put out a much deeper bass especially at higher volume , I know it’s a bit different but reggae and dub sound systems only use 18s for that reason, I don’t know the maths but I’m guessing you wouldn’t get that chest thumping bass from anything smaller
  14. To further improve my playing I’m working on a couple of Sean Hurley basslines, so I’m paying extra attention to the ghost notes and working on them separately, really enjoying it
  15. Karen Carpenter had a wonderful magical voice
  16. A bit of Third World tonight
  17. Ok 😂, whereabouts in London
  18. Thanks very much Q, I’ll definitely do that
  19. I’ve seen a few places mentioned, exactly what venue is the London one
  20. Proper relay 😁
  21. Nice one Dale, glad you got it
  22. A couple of nice easy listening ones tonight , has to be Gregory Isaacs with a my love dub mix and an early one from Patrick Alley around 1977, I really like the vocals on this, reminds me of another song but I can’t place it yet
