  1. I think he might have had it done by now 😁
  2. It’s certainly special 😂
  3. Welcome Matty
  4. A recent one from Roberto Sanchez I’m liking
  5. Really nice Ash, I bet that sounds quite powerful
  6. Yeah definitely
  7. He told me it’s a 69
  8. I never really studied the tele bass much, it was re-introduced in 68 I think, it’s an Interesting one, the neck plate dates to 68 with the large F , looks like small ferrules on the body stringing too
  9. Welcome Phil
  10. True stubs, similar to the AVRI, I’ve got a 62 jazz and a 62 precision, they are outstanding instruments
  11. I’m neither an accountant or lawyer but I am a big fender fan, I know there’s lots here that aren’t, if you can afford it then CS fenders are pretty much the best you can get if you can find the right one for you , I’d have another tomorrow if one caught my eye but I’d be a bit more selective now rather than just jumping in and buying them , there’s nothing wrong with wanting the best you can buy, whether it’s worth the price doesn’t matter to me if it’s something you want and it makes you happy every time you pick it up
  12. I haven’t bought any lately ,but I have been tempted whenever I see a Sean Hurley CS precision listed
  13. Very cool
  14. My mini P bass has a small body, I just use it for noodling on the sofa when I was looking Flight do a mini jazz bass , not sure if you could get the size to maybe copy it to make one
  15. First class work, congratulations on getting a beautiful bass
  16. Definitely, this would take some time to work out 😁
  17. Same here, just about anything I buy has to be all original, it’s just the way I prefer it too, some exceptions are i like early precisions and jazzes which aren’t always original but that’s because some things may have worn out, not upgrades
  18. Taking a break from the Sean Hurley ones and working on a few Robbie Shakespeare Basslines I’ve never got around to playing
  19. If it’s on here you should be able to see the sellers feedback, if it’s a new member or they don’t have feedback then I would only use PayPal and pay the fees ( not f&f as you don’t have any cover), I’ve bought lots from here and some things have been many thousands with no issues at all, only the people I know will I pay f&f or bank transfer
  20. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed any difference in sound from a higher action to a lower action unless it’s low and someone is playing hard in which case it’s noisy where the strings are buzzing, I play with a super low action and a soft touch, I don’t like buzz
  21. Spitfire do a very convincing tort pickguard but they aren’t cheap, nothing looks like the original ones imo but they are close
  22. To answer the OP, for me the biggest impact I had was switching to valve amps, I’ve had many amps in the past, probably like most of us , markbass, Ashdown etc which were all good but the valve tone just really clicked with me, it doesn’t matter what bass I use they all sound great , so the amp makes a big difference I think
  23. Any pictures of the fingerboard nilo
  24. That’s a lot of bass for the money, good luck Joey
