I’ve found poly finishes to be quite resilient, it’s nitro finishes you have to be careful with, I had patches appear on one of my nitro jazzes and I don’t know where they came from, it could have been something in one of my cases or off something on my clothing
I’ve just asked miss RB and she suggested, a lint clothes roller first to get anything like hairs and debris etc off , then a mix of comfort and water and spray it and let it dry, I wouldn’t use fabreeze as it has chemicals in it, this is just a suggestion 🙂
Fingerboard dots were an option when I specified mine and I asked for none , but I’ve never seen one without side dots, that would be a bit taxing for my small brain 😄
That would have been a dealbreaker for me if I experienced that Ed , I played about 6 in PMT before I bought mine and they were all good , I’m surprised Sandberg sent them out like that , I’ve got an ebony board and it’s well smooth 🙂
I can’t see any reason frank , I’ve got an ash/ ebony TT4 which I’m sure you’ve seen, they play very nicely , balance well and the necks are among the best I’ve played, you are also able to get a a really low action, which I like 🙂
I’m a joiner and I’ve worked with teak, there’s lots of variations but in general it’s a very stable wood and used a lot for furniture making, it has a tight grain so it will rout and shape well, but depending on the density it can be heavy 🙂
