  1. I’m a joiner and I’ve worked with teak, there’s lots of variations but in general it’s a very stable wood and used a lot for furniture making, it has a tight grain so it will rout and shape well, but depending on the density it can be heavy 🙂
  2. This one works, I just clicked on the word App👍
  3. I don’t think I’ve posted these before, a couple of classics from Sugar Minott and anyone who used to listen to Rodigan in the 80s will recognise this one, it’s the album mix, it was the theme tune to his show , nice version at 3.36
  4. Just made a purchase from Jim, quick postage, well packaged, great communication, and a pleasure to deal with, I would highly recommend, thanks Tony 👍
  5. Thanks for this , Mark is a superb teacher , I’ve used many of his theory videos , for £2.99 it’s worth a look.
  6. Imo, if it’s ok and set to the right height I would leave it, I’ve only ever changed a nut once , I bought a jazz and the end at the G string was broken off, I gave it a gentle tap with a small piece of shaped wood and it came out easily for me to replace it, luckily it wasn’t glued in but I know sometimes they are glued in 🙂
  7. Wasn’t there a song about bones 🤔
  8. I wish you all the best and a hope all turns out well 🙂
  9. That sounds bad maidens, how long will you be out of action for
  10. It’s no trouble at all bonzo, just PM me your address and I’ll pop them in the post 👍
  11. They are leather stew , I can take a pic if you want
  12. Hi stew, I’m not quite sure what you would call it , it’s really light, I use it most days and the padding is still as new. Edit, it says on their website it’s nylon 🙂
  13. After listening to the song quite a few times I can normally work out what’s going on theory wise , and I find listening to the song in the car while driving to work helps because the tune is in my head then most of the day , if I’m struggling I break it down into sections.
  14. If it’s a reasonable price initially and I’m happy with it I’ll just say I’ll take it, I don’t tend to haggle, but if i think it’s overpriced I normally ask politely if that’s their best price, if they come down great , if they don’t then it’s up to me if I want to pay it 🙂
  15. @Bonzo I’ve got a new set of rounds that came off my us jazz that you can have for free if you want, they were too bright for me and I only use flats, so they are just sitting in the draw 🙂
  16. Another one that came to me the other day redstriper is the great John Holt , love I can feel, great Bassline which is at 4.13
  17. Just a suggestion for the op, why not fit a set of D’addario half rounds, you will get the smoothness of a flat and the clarity of a round so the best of both worlds, I’ve had a set on one of my jazzes for about 4 years now and they still sound great 🙂
  18. Hi @Bonzo it’s worth keeping an eye on the strings for sale on here, they come up fairly often, you will save some money, I’ve done the whole string thing and it can definitely work out expensive , many a night I’ve trawled the for sale section looking for a certain guage or brand 🙂
  19. Sorry creeper, I’ve never had one with the controls on the pickguard as I always preferred them separate , but I’ve never heard any bad reports, I think some of them look quite cool
  20. I’ve had many mim jazzes from the 90s , all were fine and they are dead easy to upgrade if something isn’t to your liking.
