  1. I’m guessing it’s a precision, yes 1975
  2. I’ve got the jazz elite and it’s probably one of the best jazzes I’ve had (and I’ve had lots) apart from my AVRI 62, which is different altogether , they sound great in active and passive mode , I actually have to dial back the bass in active which is unusual for me 😁, and the compound neck is lovely, one of the reasons I went for the elite over the ultra was the truss rod wheel which is so easy, I don’t know why more basses don’t have them
  3. Welcome Elmailon
  4. Is that on the app, it looks different to mine
  5. Welcome ferny
  6. I’m more than happy to be a supporting member, it’s a wonderful community, merry Christmas to everyone
  7. It’s never been a colour that’s appealed to me personally , good luck to him if he gets what he’s looking for, seems high to me
  8. I’d guess around 3k
  9. This guys channel has some really great Basslines, I haven’t gone through them all yet but I found this jamerson one I like and I’ve been working my way through it, never heard of the song before , I’m guessing it’s Motown’ish
  10. I enjoyed listening to these earlier, the isolated drums and bass is really interesting, I’ve played this many times but I noticed a few subtle notes I’d missed before, cut to the sections in the description .
  11. Definitely, the depth of the colour in the 60s and early 70s ones is amazing when you look up close , the bottom one looks dreadful
  12. Welcome Leigh
  13. Truth and rights, don chandlers playing is sweet
  14. Very nice
  15. Same here, I’ve spent hours even days researching certain songs, like where they were recorded and who the musicians were, it was a fairly small community of artists and musicians back then so lots of the same people played on many different recordings, there were only about 10 main bass players in the early days too, and different studios had their own house band, you can go down quite a rabbit hole sometimes and it leads you many other things , I love the history
  16. Yeah, I think the original was recorded in studio one in the early 70s
  17. I looked these up once before, I think I saw them on TB , not really my thing but they look very cool
  18. Very much Tandro, Truth and Rights is quite a classic, and I really like the Richie spice tune, so many reggae/dub riddims have been used for many years, I’ve heard quite a few on house and jungle mixes that my boys listen to, I find Riddimguide and whosampled good fun to go through sometimes, John Holt - Police In Helicopter is one that’s been used a lot, like here, it’s one of my favourite Basslines to play
  19. Yeah, similar headstock and truss rod cover
  20. Thanks Jo that’s good to know , everything I’ve heard about them has been good
  21. That’s a beauty
  22. I still have my vinyl collection starting from around 1977 so I like flipping them sometimes, I don’t use Spotify much as I find it quite limited, there’s a lot on YouTube now, even some of the rare recordings so I use that a lot
  23. It’s a long walk for me 😁
  24. That’s great, I really like the early jazzes, they sound amazing
