  1. Just fit whatever strings you want, it takes a long long time to wear frets down, my 71 precision still has the original frets
  2. Boiling strings- The first step is to remove the strings from your bass.. I knew I was doing something wrong 😁
  3. Stumbled across this, great tone and amazing player Jisun Min
  4. Probably sounds a bit nerdy but I really enjoyed learning my scales and modes, I went through many books and videos, if I’m learning a Bassline the first thing I do now is see how it’s related to a scale, I also found running up and down the 2 octave good exercises, love a pentatonic too
  5. Welcome future
  6. Welcome Rick
  7. Thanks very much for that info diskwave , if you like a jamerson Bassline have a look on his channel and on his playlists he’s got over 100 with tabs with lots of different artists
  8. Same here, that’s pretty much my ideal bass
  9. I listen to to quite a bit of Alborosie, this is a great song that I’ve never got around to learning,so I started breaking down the Bassline today , Soul Train
  10. Thanks dodg that’s beautiful , I know lollipops were used into 68 but these look different to what I’ve seen
  11. Very nice, congrats
  12. Bassbros has recently listed a nice 67P, I remember seeing it before because of the tuners, I’ve never seen these fitted from the factory before https://search.app/aXuuUWBtoudKsai48
  13. Picked up my Ampeg PF-50T yesterday from a local tech who has done the humbuster mod on it , it wasn’t very noisy really but the slight hum kinda annoyed me, so pleased to get it back and what a great sounding amp it is, I’m thinking of pairing it with a barefaced two 10s , has anyone tried it, or maybe an Ampeg 1x15 , any thoughts
  14. I’ve been really enjoying working my way through this for something different, such a nice Bassline and song , anyone know who the bass player was
  15. That setup looks so cool, will you use the amp with your Monique
  16. Great idea Tandro, I’m up for that, dancehall covers quite a wide range starting from the late 70s onwards so we shouldn’t run out of tunes 😁, during the 90s I used to listen to a lot of Patra, so I’m going with this one
  17. I’m enjoying reading through this, there’s many bass players I’ve never heard of so I’m looking them up
  18. Loving this from tropical dubwise
  19. Enjoyed giving this a blast today, hadn’t heard it in a while
  20. bass Aston Barrett Flabba Holt Robbie Shakespeare Val Douglas Sean Hurley guitar Ernest Ranglin Peter Tosh
  21. I’m guessing it’s a precision, yes 1975
  22. I’ve got the jazz elite and it’s probably one of the best jazzes I’ve had (and I’ve had lots) apart from my AVRI 62, which is different altogether , they sound great in active and passive mode , I actually have to dial back the bass in active which is unusual for me 😁, and the compound neck is lovely, one of the reasons I went for the elite over the ultra was the truss rod wheel which is so easy, I don’t know why more basses don’t have them
  23. Welcome Elmailon
  24. Is that on the app, it looks different to mine
  25. Welcome ferny
