  1. Happy new year to you all, Dug out an old vinyl recently ,Fatman Riddim Section from a long time back, such a great album , pretty much inner circle but without Jacob Miller I believe , I remember buying this , Robbie Shakespeare on bass and another with Jacob and

  6. I don’t do fb either but it did let me see a little bit, looks like he’s flicking the strings fast with all his fingers after the slap and pop
  7. Welcome Syd
  8. I see this has been listed on reverb and eBay this morning, it certainly looks in amazing condition and says it’s never been used, not many like that around from 78, nice
  9. Just fit whatever strings you want, it takes a long long time to wear frets down, my 71 precision still has the original frets
  10. Boiling strings- The first step is to remove the strings from your bass.. I knew I was doing something wrong 😁
  11. Stumbled across this, great tone and amazing player Jisun Min
  12. Probably sounds a bit nerdy but I really enjoyed learning my scales and modes, I went through many books and videos, if I’m learning a Bassline the first thing I do now is see how it’s related to a scale, I also found running up and down the 2 octave good exercises, love a pentatonic too
  13. Welcome future
  14. Welcome Rick
  15. Thanks very much for that info diskwave , if you like a jamerson Bassline have a look on his channel and on his playlists he’s got over 100 with tabs with lots of different artists
  16. Same here, that’s pretty much my ideal bass
  17. I listen to to quite a bit of Alborosie, this is a great song that I’ve never got around to learning,so I started breaking down the Bassline today , Soul Train
  18. Thanks dodg that’s beautiful , I know lollipops were used into 68 but these look different to what I’ve seen
  19. Very nice, congrats
  20. Bassbros has recently listed a nice 67P, I remember seeing it before because of the tuners, I’ve never seen these fitted from the factory before https://search.app/aXuuUWBtoudKsai48
  21. Picked up my Ampeg PF-50T yesterday from a local tech who has done the humbuster mod on it , it wasn’t very noisy really but the slight hum kinda annoyed me, so pleased to get it back and what a great sounding amp it is, I’m thinking of pairing it with a barefaced two 10s , has anyone tried it, or maybe an Ampeg 1x15 , any thoughts
  22. I’ve been really enjoying working my way through this for something different, such a nice Bassline and song , anyone know who the bass player was
  23. That setup looks so cool, will you use the amp with your Monique
  24. Great idea Tandro, I’m up for that, dancehall covers quite a wide range starting from the late 70s onwards so we shouldn’t run out of tunes 😁, during the 90s I used to listen to a lot of Patra, so I’m going with this one
  25. I’m enjoying reading through this, there’s many bass players I’ve never heard of so I’m looking them up
