  1. I bought a bass from a shop in Amsterdam and I asked if I had to pay any duties, and I was told no because the vat had already been added by the shop , so it only cost me the price that was shown 🙂
  2. I’ve never heard that before, really nice work, and I like the Bassline ☝️
  3. What a great beat, loving that ☝️
  4. I love a project I’ve done a few myself , and upgraded many of my jazzes over the years , it’s great fun , I look forward to seeing your progress ☝️
  5. It would have been Exodus or Natural mystic by Bob Marley and the wailers around 1978 , I then went on to learn the whole album, and I still play it now.
  6. Just checked it’s September 2020
  7. I ordered a leopard print one from China, for £2.79 , delivery time is August 🙂
  8. I only remembered it because I bought one of the little magnifiers 😁
  9. I use the ibassline fretwraps , but I’ve had some of the cheap ones before and tbf they did the same job ,but didn’t last as long, just check the sizes if for example you play a jazz, because some come up big.
  10. I’ve still got one Steve I found it in an old bass case I had in my loft 😁
  11. I know a few people that use the 4x10HLF for reggae and dub and it really does put out some serious low end, that’s with an ampeg head , I don’t know what it’s like with a different head.
  12. Quite a good cover I thought of pimpers paradise here by Arise Roots
  13. Yeah you’re right Dom , it was fairly wet when I bought it the planks had been stored in an open sided barn , it seemed like it was never gonna dry 🙂
  14. You might know something I don’t but 200mm will not season quickly, I had 40mm barn cladding planks in my shop for 9 months and when it came to machining it was still damp in the middle, I was quite surprised 🙂
  15. Hi si, I used to buy all my hardwood for my joinery shop from a company called Latham timber, and all their timber is cut with the bandsaw from lumber to oversized planks and then stored flat to season and then ready for machining , thicker the better really, like this
  16. I like the video to this early one by eek a mouse
  17. Without going back through the thread, whereabouts is it being held, cheers
  18. I’d like to leave a thank you and a sad response but it won’t let me, that was a great thing to do ubit, 👍, I too would play for free for charity.
  19. I have to agree, I got the full candy with my 62 , but a lot of the time it’s missing 🙂
  20. Not sure if I’ve posted these before but I’ve been listening to quite a bit of Arise Roots lately, they are a bit more upbeat but still have that reggae groove and nattali rize on this one is great
  21. I’m working on this great 1978 Gregory isaacs tune today, lots of subtle changes to the Bassline, the version at 3.07 comes in nice ☝️
  22. Hi jonski and welcome, the Yamaha session cake will do exactly what you want, and it runs on batteries, just plug your phone , bass and headphones in and play, I’ve got one for silent practice whilst just sitting on the sofa, it’s got a nice sound too 🙂
