  1. Thanks very much,👍. it looked quite old but I’ve just seen they still make them
  2. Hi peeps, I’ve seen this in a charity shop window, I don’t know much about Gretsch basses but it looks fun, any idea what it would be worth paying, or what they are worth, thanks 🙂
  3. Good tune, coincidentally last night I was playing the bass to this, it’s a song by max romeo with the upsetters, and I really like this too with tiken jah fakoly, and Robbie Shakespeare on bass
  4. My copy of the gary Willis book came today, I’ve just had a quick look and I get the idea of it , but i think it’s going to take me a while to grasp the concept , the audio seems very good too .
  5. That’s good it’s worth it for the better one , the rebate is my favourite plane, I also like my little Stanley 75 and I’ve still got the original box 🙂

  9. The screws are the same size head as a scratchplate but a bit longer and with a washer because of the slot in the mute
  10. I’m sure I’ve got one somewhere that came with my 62RI jazz, I’ll have a look when I get home nige 🙂
  11. It might be legit, it might not, but I wouldn’t be comfortable giving them my details
  12. One of the best combinations for me, sly and Robbie with Mykal Rose , great Bassline
  13. The markbass blackline has the power switch on the front, I use mine sometimes for home practice, nice little amp really 🙂
  14. A long time ago it was always known as a scratchplate but it seems to be more commonly known as a pickguard now,
  15. I know what you’re saying, he does go on a bit but he knows his stuff
  16. I’ve found, The strings make a difference , the one jazz I have that’s permanently detuned BEAD, has labella deep talking on, which sound fine because of the tension, but if I detune another with LTF’s , it just doesn’t work, fender flats also work well, I can’t speak for rounds as I haven’t used them since 1984 🙂
  17. On the few occasions that I’ve tried playing something different to reggae I’ve used a few of Constantine’s videos , he’s such a good player, and he’s also a member here
  18. That’s brilliant, love it 😄
  19. I’m quite an Alborosie fan and there’s some great bass on his albums , this is one of my favourites, And this one with alborosie on vocals with Raging Fyah, and Delroy Hamilton on bass, it’s a great one to play
  20. Very nice, I did look at those myself 👍
