  1. I’ve had flats since the 80s , and I seem to remember labella using orange silks at one point, but I think they changed to red later, that looks like a cool bass , can I see some more pics 🙂
  2. I bought these quite a long time ago on ped’s recommendation, and they are great, they are nice and light and the padding is very comfortable 🙂
  3. For any Bob Marley fans there’s a program on BBC2 on Saturday night at 21.45 called , When Bob Marley came to Britain ☝️
  4. Very nice bassfan, I’m looking for a 62RI at the moment but I got a bit of marcus gas when I saw that 😁. I like the colour, enjoy your bass 👍👍
  5. That’s a beautiful bass cobretti, I really hope it gets returned to you 🙂
  6. Certainly different, I’ve never seen one before
  7. One of my favourite Basslines
  8. Oak has a very nice grain and is very hard wearing, and it has a fairly neutral colour so it matches most colour schemes
  9. I had Sandberg build me a custom tt from ash with an ebony fretboard, they were spot on with their work and time estimate, I would definitely have another
  10. I’ve got this type, which saves carrying 2 although I don’t use it very often now
  11. A marking gauge, nice job si, the colour and grain looks like mahogany
  12. Do you have a friend nearby who can bid for you 🙂
  13. Not sure if I’ve posted anything by Jah Sun before, but here’s a great one by them off their album magic and madness.
  14. Cruising through Walthamstow with this mix on
  15. I haven’t had much experience with the squires , but a lot of people here have, but every mim one I’ve had has been good, maybe I’ve been lucky. not sure if you’ve seen this thread,
  16. I don’t know what your budget is but I’ve had and I’ve still got some really good mim jazz basses, and if you’re not happy with something they are easy to upgrade 🙂 edit, I’ve just seen your budget
  17. That’s really bad , considering it hasn’t worked properly since you bought it
  18. Very nice indeed
  19. I built the one on the left to play in and I’ve got an old Ashdown mag 300 and 2 TE15s in there, and the insulation made a massive difference to the sound , and it’s really warm in the winter with just a small electric heater, I used earthwool , which was a lot cheaper than celotex 🙂
  20. Very cool and great use of the ironing board ☝️you’ve really got some pedals there
  21. Love that story, that’s great, and the bass looks cool 👍
  22. @Joebass out of interest was I right in what I thought 🙂
  23. Depending on what finish you want I would recommend Danish oil, I’ve used it on hardwood kitchen worktops, it’s really hard wearing and it protects against water, but like most finishes it will mark with something very hot , you can also build up the depth with more coats 🙂
  24. Hi b5 , hope you are well, thanks very much for that I’ll take a look 👍
