    I think that’s the best way sometimes , because you can get a feel for it then, a few years back I randomly bought a tokai jazz for around £150 and it plays like a dream, if I hadn’t gone and tried it I would never have known 🙂

    my bass room has bare floorboards , so I made one quite easily for my markbass 15s, from 2 layers of dense foam, then a layer of white rock plastic on top to give it a firm base , and then a carpet tile top ,all glued together with spray adhesive, it works very well , and cheap 🙂

    I’d never ever thought of this before now, I’ve only ever been interested in the tone and how they feel, but you could have something there @Jonse because my jazzes with Daddario tapes are pretty well in line,

    It doesn’t matter what you cut off the end , the end of silk will still be in the same place

    Unless I’m missing something , you can’t alter the silk length (unless you trim it ), it’s how they are made , out of 14 basses only 2 of mine are in line, as BigRedX says, I think you were just lucky

    I’ve bought a 2m cable for my Dre beats which has 2 bands on the plugs , it works fine but does that mean it won’t record?

    I haven’t turned my rig on for a week, I’ve just been using this , and tweaking the controls on my jazzes gets some surprisingly nice tones

    Here’s a couple of reggae YouTube radio stations if anyone wants to listen to a bit of a variety , Kaya also has some old footage sometimes and short stories 🙂

    I think everyone’s seen them , My 62RI nitro finish jazz , and my trusty old shell pink jazz , which is probably what I play the most 🙂

    Foam works for me too if I want that sound, this is podiatry foam I got from work, but the Bassmute is the best as it can be switched off or different stages of muting 🙂

    I’m an Ashdown fan , I’ve had the Ashdown mag head with 2x15 NY markbass cabs for quite a while now and I’m really enjoying the tone, it’s a nice deep clear sound, and the deep bass switch really adds some bottom, but at the moment I’m thinking about the barefaced super twin or the dubster for a bit of fun

    Just can’t beat a bit of Marley, I’ve got so many but the one I like playing more is probably this, and I’ve added a really nice version by Danny Morris with Anthony vitty , from his groove yard

    Nice Bassline @pigface , and what a great story ,similarly, my neighbor knocked on my door a while ago and I thought it was to complain about the bass, but she said, can you tell me what song that is that you are playing only I really like that 😄, it was this tune 🙂
