  1. This was a massive one for me in my sound system days , heavy Bassline 🙂
  2. Happy Friday, it’s a lee scratch perry one from me , from 1976, Robbie Shakespeare on bass
  3. I’ve heard quite a bit of tribal seeds they are a great band, but I didn’t know the others, thanks for that @ubit 👍
  4. David rodigan is one of my heroes from way back in the day from when he hosted rodigans reggae , and I really enjoyed watching this, it’s something different as it’s an orchestra playing reggae, I don’t know who the bass player is but he’s laying down some nice basslines ,
  5. Thanks hellzero, I fitted it just to try one out and I like it so much, I’ve left it on 🙂
  6. It’s not really wacky but Have you thought about concentric stacked knobs, I’ve got them on 2 of my jazzes, you can control both pickups individually and they look really cool
  7. marks build video here 🙂
  8. That’s interesting, How did you plug your pedal board into it ezbass
  9. I’ve never had one but I’m thinking of getting a stingray, so I’ll be following this with interest
  10. Hi craigster, not sure if you’ve seen it but Richie Blake has some good videos on scales and modes, I came across him about 6 years ago, I’ve put this one on just to take you to the site 🙂
  11. Wow what a transformation, that looks great, top job Maude ☝️
  12. There’s so many nice ones, and I think this one looks just right
  13. I’ve been doing that for 10 years and still can’t play it 😂
  14. Loving that jazzy
  15. Wow , that’s a nice groove ☝️
  16. Yeah I prefer this version Ricky , it I’ve only played it a few times myself and that was many years ago , I think I got the basic riddim and made the rest up at the time 😄
  17. I’m quite a fan of Sade and I’ve always liked the bass tone on this
  18. I’ve only ever really played reggae Dave, so I guess I have a feel for it the same as you have for rock and prog , as you say that tune is not technically difficult , it’s just keeping the timing and it changes part way through at 1.38 , this girl from France I’ve spoke to a few times has a nice feel for reggae , this is her cover of that song 🙂
  19. I’m working on getting my timing spot on, on this one
  20. Would this also apply to an iPad islander 🙂
  21. I know nothing about them and I’ve only tried a stingray once ,and it was a bit bright sounding for what I play, but after seeing some of these I’m thinking, I need one 🙂
  22. Great tune, I’d forgotten about this, thanks for all your work Chris 👍
  23. I also had the matching 2x15 cab luckman, it was a great rig in its day 👍
  24. What a great bass, imo Washburn are well underrated, many years ago I bought a Washburn force 4 , the neck is superb and it has a fairly flat fretboard and a really low action, and in all these years I’ve never had to adjust it, it’s also active and sounds great , I bought a jazz not long after and it went in it’s case for years, but I still have it 🙂
