I heard this today, it couldn’t be farther away from what I play , but I love the Bassline, it really drives the song along, i used to play blues but I’ve never tried country, I’m adding it to my list 😁
They are 042, .056, .075, .100 , i found the tension slightly lower than the la bella deep talking , but certainly not floppy ,they have a similar feel to the stock rounds it came with ,only smoother 🙂
After trying various strings and not being 100% happy I’ve just fitted La Bella low tension flats to my sandberg TT ,and they are great, i have to wind the tone back for what I play but the brightness is there if I need it ,and in passive mode it’s sweet, it took a while and a few quid but it was worth it 🙂
Welcome 👍. There is no one particular bass for reggae, I’ve seen it played on many different types of bass over the last 35 years , and I’ve had many , but IMO a good place to start would be a fender Jazz or Precision with either flatwound or tapewound strings for a mellow tone 🙂
If anyone is looking, this is ending soon, no bids yet 🙂. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F254371071172
Edit, it’s not mine , I’ve been watching it 🙂
