  1. Hi delamitri, I play with a low action and my fender P sounds spot on this is what height mine are set at ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. That is mega, I love it ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜
  3. Didnโ€™t know that there were variants , Iโ€™ve never tried them because I was always told they were bright, I may have to try the copper ones ๐Ÿ‘
  4. Not neons , but Iโ€™ve had a funky set on my P bass special for years ๐Ÿ™‚
  5. Hi Jon , welcome and lovely dog , Iโ€™m dog sitting my sons collie at the mo who looks very similar to yours ๐Ÿ™‚
  6. What about Low by Lenny kravitz , nice use of the B string and a little bit of slap ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. Looks good stub , I too would recommend the stack knobs , they would look good on yours ๐Ÿ‘ , having separate individual control over both pickups is great, @KiOgon rewired my shell pink jazz controls for me to give deeper/warmer tone , itโ€™s superb ๐Ÿ™‚
  8. This was my first amp, about 1977/8 , HH ic 100 s which I used to play my jedson through in my first reggae band ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. Thatโ€™s groovy, how did it sound ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. Iโ€™ve never seen one of those for sale, it looks kinda nice ๐Ÿ™‚
  11. I second what @greghagger says about major/minor pentatonics , you will find these so useful, I can highly recommend this book ๐Ÿ™‚
  12. Iโ€™m hoping to be in Ashdown in the next week or so , they are about 45 minutes away from me, Iโ€™ll take a look ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Sounds like a good plan to me ๐Ÿ˜
  14. If itโ€™s any consolation I do exactly the same , Iโ€™m ok for basses this month because Iโ€™m enjoying my sandberg and I definitely donโ€™t need any more gear , but Iโ€™ve convinced myself I need more amps , so itโ€™s another trip to Ashdown for me ๐Ÿ˜€
  15. Thanks Merton , Iโ€™m not copying you , honest ๐Ÿ˜
  16. Love it, Iโ€™ve been looking at the RM 500 ๐Ÿ˜
  17. I play with the thumb quite a lot playing reggae and I rest the side of my palm softly across the bridge, but one of the hardest things is to get an even volume across all strings as the D and G will sound quieter, I used to practice 2 octave scales slowly until I got an even tone , then as wateroftyne says it will come naturally ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Very nice, and I should think you can dial in quite a few tones with the control layout ๐Ÿ‘
  19. I do like the tweedy niceness ๐Ÿ˜ . At home I roll the treble fully off , bass on full and mid about 10 o clock, through a markbass NY 115 and it gives me a nice deep clear reggae tone . I only use mine for home practice as I have other amps for use outside but I would say they are perfectly gigable ๐Ÿ™‚ i
  20. Hi jimmy, do you mean the bass switch operates opposite to the mid and treble switches ๐Ÿ™‚
