  1. If you want a handy little tool for measuring string height, pickup height etc, one of these would come in handy , and for general light sanding and nibbing down or smoothing, these pads are great, https://www.screwfix.com/p/norton-expert-contour-sanding-pads-fine-medium-pack-of-2/9971D?tc=AA6&ds_kid=92700022649300980&gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1241687&ds_rl=1245250&ds_rl=1243321&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr-mtisnC5wIVF-DtCh1BsQ7HEAQYAiABEgJb6fD_BwE
  2. That’s cool, imo there’s good and not so good in all years, it’s what feels good for you, I’ve got an 08 and it’s great, hope it works out for you ☝️
  3. Yeah maybe Paul, the markbass cab is spot on with my Ashdown mag head which is what I play with , but with the LB it just lacks a bit of deep bass, I’ve had it all checked over by Dave green and he said it’s perfect
  4. @Maude I ordered one from DV247 it came 2 days later and it’s a great little unit for the money, it does the job nicely, you can get some good slap tones from it too, thanks for the recommendation ☝️
  5. That really is something special, GLWYS
  6. Back in the old days I used to use string 😝
  7. I looked at these once before and ended up taking the padded shoulder bit off my laptop bag , I guess it would depend how wide the strap is 🙂
  8. Bought some more strings from Paul , he posted them the same day, top guy , pleasure to deal with, cheers Tony ☝️
  9. Done matt ☝️
  10. You can try drilling a small hole into the snapped screw , and tapping a slotted screwdriver into the hole , it should grip enough to unscrew 🙂
  11. Good bit of studio footage here from sly and Robbie who have been my main influence from an early age, nice bassline .
  12. Not me I’ve never been camping, but it’s a nice thing you’re trying to do 👍
  13. I’ve heard lagging but never ligging 🙂
  14. They are great , this is another i really like 🙂
  15. I’ve only had 2 japanese ones and I wasn’t overly impressed, IMO the usa ones are the best I’ve had
  16. You can never escape the vibe 😄 , that’s great that you’re band has reformed, especially with the trombonists, I always think they add so much to the reggae sound , please keep us posted on how it’s going ,and I think covering that tune will go down really well, great post Raslee ☝️
  17. Definitely, I ordered one, thanks Maude.

  20. Thanks for that Maude, I’ll have a look, the pedal world is new to me I’ve never had one, only my tuner 🙂
  21. I only use flats, one of my jazzes has had the same strings for about 16 years, I might dig my foam mute out now you mention it 👍
  22. Absolutely stub, with tapes or flats
  23. The thought did cross my mind 😄
  24. That’s great ☝️, pablo was quite famous for playing the melodica and heavy roots reggae, he also worked with a lot of well known artists especially king tubby. Imo, his early tunes were the best 🙂
