  7. Iโ€™d say it would be safer on anything heavier than a jazz to have strap locks as the leather is fairly soft ๐Ÿ™‚
  8. Mine has been fine on my fender jazzes and my sandberg tt , but thatโ€™s quite light, I donโ€™t use straplocks, but Iโ€™ll take some close up pics when I get home if you want ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. @Punkviking I bought a set of these about 3 years ago for one of my jazzes just to try , and for the money they are really good, I think I paid ยฃ12 , and they are still going strong, I know a few other people on here also bought them ๐Ÿ™‚https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F332636490116

  13. Lots of things will define your tone ie , the bass, your amp , your speaker, your settings , etc, but a heavier gauge string wonโ€™t necessarily give you a heavier tone , (by heavier tone Iโ€™m assuming you mean a deeper sound ). I play some pretty heavy reggae and dub and I get a perfect tone from 45-105 flatwound and 45-105 tapes . Iโ€™ve probably tried most strings over the years and I think a lot of it is just trying different ones until you find the ones you like, Iโ€™ve spent many nights trawling through BC marketplace and eBay at 2 o clock in the morning looking for strings ๐Ÿ˜ I found mine in the end ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. For theory and technique Iโ€™ve been using, the Tony Grey bass academy for quite a few years, and DeLuca2277 has some good grooves on his site ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. Teebs , I think Iโ€™ve found the perfect hat for when youโ€™re playing ๐Ÿ˜
  18. I think this one would suit you teebs, it lights up ๐Ÿ˜
  19. Hi DJB , what are the main differences between the bta 300 and the ctm 100 as Iโ€™ve looked at both but never tried the bta ๐Ÿ™‚
