Poshguitars have it but I couldn’t see how much postage was

My p was my go to bass for years so the pots were pretty worn and the jack was a bit hit and miss occasionally, after I fitted the new loom it sounds like a new bass, I also asked for a different cap to roll off the highs a bit, the sound is perfect.

I fitted one yesterday to one of my Ps , it really is a nice bit of kit and easy to fit .

I foolishly sold my one about a year ago and bought a custom Sandberg, which I really like , but I do miss it and , imo it was better than the custom shop jazz I also had, if another came up I would be very tempted 🙂

Not strictly a precision because I’ve fitted my favourite old jazz bass neck to a 22 year old P body, which is aging nicely, I put Tonerider TRP1 pickups in yesterday with a kiogon loom with a 0.1uF cap , and with the labella LTFs , it sounds amazing. I just need 2 flat top chrome knobs and a threaded bridge saddle and it’s done, I can’t put it down 🙂

Have you tried just trying another E string , to eliminate whether it’s the string or not 🙂

I’m no expert but I’ve just fitted a kiogon loom and I asked John for more bass and less treble and he fitted a, 0.1 uF cap , which sounds great, I still get treble but it’s not as bright, hope this helps FB ☝️

My 62RI jazz came with the holes pre drilled in the pickguard, I don’t believe there is a template, here’s a pic if it helps

Just bought another loom from John, this time for my P bass, I ordered it yesterday and it came this morning, absolutely fantastic service, and it’s fitted and sounds superb, many thanks John ☝️ cheers Tony

I’m a big Augustus Pablo fan and I recently dug this album out, I’d forgotten how good it was, there’s some really nice basslines , well worth a listen if you like the melodica , it’s pablo day today 🙂

I had this once , and noticed my fingertips were black after playing for a while, so I used some fine furniture cleaner and a very light coat of lemon oil and it was fine, the reason some water based stains smell odd is the water can go off in time 🙂

Hi silvia, it could be a stain that’s been sprayed in the factory to tint the fretboard slightly darker, we did it in our joinery shop and some stains have a strange smell 🙂
