  1. For anyone who hasn’t heard this, it’s superb, good luck mickey
  2. That’s some collection, Vintage wise ,sunburst is my favourite for a precision, and Olympic white for jazzes, but I think there’s something special about the candy apple red , I’d happy have that P or jazz especially with the matching headstock, be interesting to see how the bidding goes
  3. Ooh thank you Rick
  4. Nice job, I’ve got the same pickups in one of my precision’s, I can’t remember how much I paid but it wasn’t a big price, really great aren’t they
  5. Absolute Music Have got a lovely looking 63 P in, lots of wear on it , looks pretty cool , shame the prices have gone up so much https://share.google/Leijlry2koONTRuhQ
  6. I don’t have instagram but from what I can see that CAR precision looks nice, don’t think GH auctions site is open for viewing yet
  7. Just had a thought, I was thinking right handed, perhaps it’s right with a lefty
  8. This doesn’t sound right to me, all my P basses which are up to 72 work clockwise to increase the volume and tone, don’t know why they would work in reverse
  9. I don’t use rounds so I don’t know how they feel , but looking at the gauges maybe the labella 760FL (light) which are 43-104 , I’ve got them on a few precision’s and they are a nice sound and tension, below that is the 760FX 39-96 (extra light), the LTF’s are my personal preferred choice, similar tension to TI’s but not as bright
  10. Looks really good and so much better I think, i like a dark board, is it messy to use, did you have to use masking tape or something similar
  11. Quite surprised there’s nothing in the comments
  12. Definitely is stubz, it’s all about the timing on that one , not quite as easy as it first seems
  13. One of my favourites from Earl falconer , along with Impossible Love
  14. I had one of these, really great bass and a wide range of tones, GLWYS
  15. Yeah ,was just looking at the prices too Lozz, I thought they were USA when I saw the truss rod adjustment at the heel
  16. Really like that and I do like it when a P bass sounds slightly darker
  17. A bit of Slim Smith this morning
  18. This album by Horace Martin is well worth a listen, Horace has been around for a long time but you don’t really hear much about him these days ,apparently he’s popular in Mexico, nice vocals and some great Basslines
  19. Hi Rob, I know you’re a long way from me or you would be more than welcome to borrow mine, my experience is they really are a wonderful sounding amp especially with a P bass with flats and very versatile , mine is silent which is great for home use so no hum or noise, volume wise I’ve never had it up full but I’ve had it just over half way and it’s fairly loud , that’s with a Barefaced big baby ll, but I don’t know how much more it would give, Ive got a feeling that it might not be loud enough for you, I know there’s a few here that do use them in their band they might be able to advise more on the volume , maybe @Beer of the Bass, @Beedster
  20. Love this, there’s no stopping him now, I always like to see young aspiring bass players, best of luck to you
  21. It is quite a wonderful album and mixed by Errol Thompson, I remember reading about it a long time back and it was mentioned that he was experimenting with various sounds to add into the recordings, it’s not until you listen closely you can hear a doorbell at the end of the track chapter 3, there’s also ringing telephones and water sounds, and yes the basslines are superb, from memory another album I’ve still got which I bought from around the time is Fat Man Ridim Section – Bald Head Justice which is Robbie again and Errol Thompson, similar bass tone I think , I actually bought the album not knowing much about it at the time and was totally blown away with the basslines, I was just starting out on bass and learning them on the old cassette tape 😁, another album I must dig out one day
  22. Hi D D and welcome, can I suggest you give us a bit more information as to what your trying to do and we can definitely help you
  23. Really great albums, thanks for posting this , I haven’t heard them in a long time, I bought chapter 3 many years ago and it’s still in my collection somewhere in the loft, pretty sure Robbie Shakespeare was on bass
