Going through my Lee Perry collection last night and came across this lovely track I haven’t heard in a while with Junior Byles
-
Really dark fretboard too, i like that, I’d be interested to know who owned it before
-
Wunjo have got a few in at the moment, the 64 jazz has got some serious play wear, looks genuine so it must have been played for years looking at the back, they also got a 72 jazz which I’ve enquired about https://share.google/jCYtp8qSFhcS08mP0

A few for a Friday ,thought I’d do a bit of a mixture today, a new one from Stick Figure I’m liking, pretty easy listening and some Winston Edwards You can’t listen to Aswad without playing this
-
I have had this with a few vintage bass cases, it’s hard to totally get rid of the odour , leaving outside in the sun didn’t really help, I have got some of those fresh smell pouches in the pocket of the cases which does help, also be careful what you use on the fabric so it doesn’t affect the finish on your bass, especially if it’s a nitro lacquer

That looks well difficult, I’d say that’s harder than some of the jamerson ones I’m trying my hand at , good luck
-
Shake n vac to put the freshness back, remember that 🤓

Something a little different for me, Laura Lee‘s bass playing , i like this one -
Nothing sounds like a P bass apart from a P bass, my jazzes can get close but not the same
-
I absolutely love that Jazzy, congratulations, it looks great, look forward to seeing any more pics

That looks genuine to me, the only thing that might have been changed is the pickguard, didn’t the sunburst come with a white one?, I can’t exactly remember now it was a long time back, I briefly had an Olympic white one
-
I remember when they came out, nice jazz, the special also had the Greasebucket tone circuit
-
I’ve got that book, I haven’t read it all yet but it’s a really great read

Marcia Griffiths , I’m also learning this one -
I think they definitely can be, if you watch some of Sean Hurley’s videos his effortless playing and tone is just so good , I don’t think you’d get the same outcome if it wasn’t a P bass

Sly & Robbie -
I’ve gone full circle on this, back in the day when I started earning a few quid I bought precisions and loved them, then I got the jazz bass itch and played only jazzes for many years, they gave me the nice lows I preferred for reggae and dub, now I’m into both but really appreciate the sound of the P bass more than I did then, I couldn’t be without either

Dons back with some Leroy Sibbles
-
Very nice indeed, congrats that looks a beauty, I’m normally into 68-72 Precisions but I’ve been looking at a few 66’s lately

Sounds great hiram, a few off the top of my head without getting too into the heavier reggae stuff , theres many Marley songs maybe pick your favourites , Buffalo soldier, Jamming, three little birds etc Sweat - inner circle Jimmy Cliff - You Can Get It If You Really Want The Melodians – Sweet Sensation, one of my faves Baby I Love Your Way - big mountain I see you already do good thing going by Aswad , that’s a great song, Shine is another one more will come to me soon 😁 -
