Thanks guys, I'm swinging towards a TM at the moment. Hoping to try out both next week.
Anyone know of current waiting times for custom builds?I ordered a custom TT in mid December and was told estimated delivery would be the end of March .

Or the “it weights a blooming ton, let’s sell it at trade price and buy some lighter Japanese gear”
I don’t remember it being overly heavy, but I’m sure it was 😀

I had just joined my first reggae band and I can remember going into my local music shop which was called, Freeman’s , in Leytonstone high road in 1979 when I was 16 and playing a fender jazz bass which was £399 , and dreaming of owning one 😀. Looking at your price list that 399 must have been the used price .

It could be candy cola red which is a bit darker than the candy apple 🙂

I’ve had many amps and heads over the years and I’m verging on a all valve head , which one did you get 🙂

yes but for doomier results you may want to use this instead
The D string sounds a touch out of tune.

I saw this the other day, it looks really nice, and it’s active , it also looks like it’s been well looked after and having the original tools is always a good sign, it’s too far from me . Good luck with your bidding mojo🙂

This is so nice, would I be right in assuming this would work ok with my 8ohm markbass New York NY151 Cabs

Been getting lots of questions as to why using double bass books might be good for electric bassists, so here's an overview of what I got from Simandl:
There's also a new transcription here:
Fleetwood Mac - 'Go Your Own Way' bass transcription PDF
Great advice as always , thank you

I’ve been reading up on valve heads lately and the transformers weigh quite a bit, and they are normally constructed very solid which also adds to the weight

Right so the rules are you can only have 2 basses?
In that case you can have a rolling stock. Use one while selling the second, then buy another and play the new one while selling the old one. That way you constantly have new basses to try and only ever have two.
Isn't that what we all do anyway? (Except when we forget about the selling the old one part)
Exactly this, and upgrade each time only I didn’t sell the previous one, so I now have 11 😀

IMO , It’s a 5 string bass and he’s playing all 5 , the 2 black ones are to make it look like 3 😀

Hi mate, an Ampeg all-tube head, a Mesa hybrid, and two Mesa 2x10s. I have only one word of advice at this point in time; buy Mesa, they seem to be going for stupidly low prices by comparison with the quality (for example, there are two all tube heads on here at present for around £100 that retail close to £3k, and a few decent deals on eBay also).
Thanks very much beedster , much appreciated 👍
Sandberg VM4 or TM4?

I didn’t think so either, I’m in no rush and PMT had quite a wide range of sandbergs in store for you to try , the main selling point for me was the necks were so comfortable and the build quality was excellent
