  1. Not sure if I’ve mentioned it ,but if anything by Robbie Williams, will young or James Arthur comes on I have to switch channel, and a rather irritating song came on the radio today that I wouldn’t want to hear again called ,You Can Call Me Al 😬
  2. Well that was like one of the best slide shows I’ve seen, amazing amount of lovely basses, I’ve probably had around 50 jazzes and precision’s but not the amount of variety you’ve had, lovely
  3. Don’t really know much about recording consoles but this looks really cool, according to the info it’s been used on so many famous reggae tracks and albums and came from Harry J's in Jamaica , check out the list , quite a part of history https://search.app/NiVfRUKLSc5D8BGg6
  4. I saw that one, very nice and I’d say probably one of the best he’s had , it’s in great condition, I’m seriously attracted to this and might have to have a chat with Andy https://www.andybaxterbass.com/products/1968-fender-precision-bass-sunburst-2
  5. I’m similar with early jazzes and precision’s, I’ve studied them in great detail to quite a nerdy boring degree 😁, I find them fascinating, and the strange thing is that whenever I’m buying one I always ask a few people to take a look and give me their opinions and they always notice something that that I’ve missed , talkbass can be a good source of information too but I don’t visit there much these days
  6. If you remember Creation Rebel you will love this with Adrian Sherwood, unfortunately I wasn’t there, I would have liked to even just to see Kenton Brown play, heavy bass, @Frank Blank I think you might like some of this
  7. I think it could be Guy, new kings road vintage had an ex pino 61 stack knob jazz for sale in 2016 for nearly 16k , can’t find any old pics but I’d guess it was the same one
  8. Hi tt, from what I can gather it’s from the Slaving Riddim , maybe originally to do with Glen brown-No More Slavery about 1973 ish , Big youth also had this out around the same time, I’ll dig a bit more tonight 👍 and I Roy track is pretty close too
  9. A nice one here from Clinton Fearon and the riddim source, sweet Bassline from Thomas Cirade
  10. Looks so good, really great work Rayman
  11. All my P basses have got very worn in flats and I’d say none sound woolly, mellow yes, personally I wouldn’t go altering your bass, do you think it could have been because you didn’t have enough time to familiarise yourself with the new setup and experiment a bit
  12. Very nice chadu ,congrats , imo you won’t go wrong with that, and the La Bella 760FL are a perfect choice, they just get better the more you play them
  13. Nice looking P bass miles, congrats, and I think the tort guard looks pretty cool with that colour
  14. Welcome Lord F
  15. That’s a great one, probably one of my favourite funky basslines along with forget me nots, I’ve played that and it took me a while to learn it as I’m not a very fast player , I used this by our Huw a long time back
  16. Might be worth having a flick through this if you haven’t already, there is some good suggestions there you may be able to use
  17. Not sure if it’s what you’re looking for but Kool & the gang have some good stuff
  18. There’s a red one for sale in the Norwich crack converters,
  19. I did look out of curiosity, but couldn’t find anything , glad you found it
  20. Looks good Si, is there any videos of this, I had a quick look but they seem to be a different model to yours
  21. I also thought the first tort guards had 11 screws and not 13 , but could be wrong
  22. Must be one of the most expensive precisions I’ve seen, and I’ve never heard of Shellback, looks nice though
  23. Rocking of the 5000
  24. Very Nice, I’ve never played one of those before, I quite like the body shape and they look comfortable to play
  25. Been looking into Trevor castell also known as Trevor Junior, there’s some nice bass on his tracks which I’ve narrowed down to 3 players , Chris Meredith, Robbie Shakespeare and George Fully Fullwood, one of those artists that’s been around a long time but not overly well known, here’s a few nice version on this from around 1984 and from the rub a dub album
