  1. I’ve read a lot of this and didn’t realise it started 10 years ago, I’m all for not letting someone get away with ripping me off but there comes a time when you have to put it down to experience, I feel your energy and time are wasted on this person who I don’t think is going to deliver anything now, I see you won the court case, I’d be contacting them to try and retrieve your money, good luck
  2. Very nice Brian 👌
  3. Isn’t the truss rod plug too long for a 59, looking at some others the originals look smaller
  4. That wear on the neck wouldn’t bother me on that year of bass, as long as everything else is as it should be then there shouldn’t really be any problem, if it’s something you’ve wanted for a long time then sometimes being a little more expensive than some others doesn’t really matter , I’ve overpaid for basses before because I really wanted them and don’t regret it at all, good luck and hope all goes well
  5. Definitely, another i like is concrete jungle, such a great Bassline, and not as straightforward to play as it first appears , quite technical when you break it down
  6. Love that one mr B, family man rocking away there, so good
  7. I’ve seen quite a few basses with 66 pots, apparently fender bought a large batch of them and carried on using them up until the 70s
  8. I didn’t recognise the bridge, but that’s one nice P bass
  9. What is this strange tone you speak of 😁
  10. I don’t haggle over prices on here , if it’s marked up at a reasonable price I’m willing to pay then I’ll just buy it no question , if it’s overpriced then I may politely ask if there’s any movement, but if it’s a no then I respect their decision
  11. Another one i like from Joe Higgs
  12. Possibly, I too remember a 61 very similar coming up around 3 years ago but not sure if it’s the same one
  13. Welcome ninjabiscuit
  14. Stunning jazz but a heavy price tag
  15. They look straight to me , but it’s not the best picture
  16. If there’s a switch fitted there might be some routing underneath the pickguard, I’d want to see more photos, I don’t know the neck maker myself but maybe someone here does
  17. Definitely no switches on a 72 and the tort doesn’t look right to me , the thing is I’ve had a few 70s fenders that were made up from parts and they played great, an original 72 would be double that price, I suppose it depends what your looking for, are you close enough to check it out
  18. Quite a few modifications by the look of it, maybe only the body and neckplate are original, maybe the bridge, pickguard isn’t original, and the neck is quite out of line if you look at the strings, I think I’d give that one a miss myself 🙂
  19. Is it this one patch https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226192047913?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=9eLxG9RJS2W&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1wDkd4CjTIi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=EMAIL
  20. I’ve seen all his videos, amazing player and I love that P bass
  21. I don’t view the wanted section often, only the for sale section 😁, but I do put wanted ads out and I’ve had good success, it would be handy to be able to bump it, but it’s no problem just doing another ad now and again
  22. Quite surprised at around £35 for a mini pickguard, niche I suppose, if anyone has a black one let me know
  23. Welcome max
  24. Forgot about the mighty diamonds
