My rm500 never sounded good through headphones, quite a lot of interference, I use the NUX pro for headphones now

I can’t help myself looking at the Jule Monique preamp, lovely thing

Look forward to seeing what you got 👍, I’ve been browsing early 70s jazz’s again lately myself but not many around with the maple and black blocks

Looks like there’s a few going up for sale at the saleroom soon, haven’t had a proper look yet though

Yeah I saw that, it looks good and I don’t think the pickguard looks too bad either, reasonably priced as well

Hi Piers, for me and pretty much in general the bass is the key and upfront instrument together with the drums (check out sly and Robbie), I can recommend having a look at Don Chandler’s videos if you haven’t seen them , he’s played with many of the top reggae artists over the years and gives some very good advice for all levels of players, he breaks down some nice basslines too, he’s the first person I contact when I need to know something, you can also download the backing tracks and tab sometimes if you look in the descriptions, I’ll put a video up to show you his channel

I saw it not long after it came out and to be honest I wasn’t expecting much, but I was quite surprised how good it was, I already knew quite a lot about him but the attention to detail of the storyline was really good, even down to Aston Barrett’s jazz bass, I’d definitely watch it again

Can’t say I know that much about him, the video above looks ok to me and I like Ian Allison , Charles seems a nice guy and a good player, I don’t really watch the so called showboating stuff, good luck to him if he’s making a living out of playing bass

Hi Fraser, I never found the headphone switch very good on mine, it never sounded clear and used to stick occasionally, I had Dave green remove mine, I think really you need to put it through a cab to check it out properly, good luck

My son sent me this on Spotify but I found it here, I’m sure you’ll remember Black Slate, good tune really liking the Bassline and I’ve been going through all of Channel One sound system videos lately ,and Luc As has some great ones on his channel if you like that kind of stuff

UB40 is a bit like this for me, their first album Signing off was superb for its time, and I like Kingston town as much as the original, impossible love is another I like to play, Earl Falconer is a great player imo , but there’s also a lot of tracks that I struggle to listen to, especially since they parted ways and there’s effectively 2 bands
