  1. Hi, yes 74 would be a poly finish, if you look in the neck pocket you can sometimes see what colour it originally was
  2. Nice setup NJE,congrats , very good amps aren’t they, I used to use mine with 2 markbass 15s , but now I use a big baby 2, I find the shape button really useful
  3. There’s quite a few shops here that I often have a look through, some in Europe too
  4. Welcome back
  5. This one was a Mexican precision but I fitted my old jazz neck on it, tonerider pickup and a kiogon loom with a 0.1 cap, it’s got a 60s threaded bridge with the bassmute , sounds and plays really nice
  6. The bullet truss rod was around 75 , I had a 74 and that adjusted at the heel
  7. My big baby 2 can put out some really deep bass , I’d say it’s a pretty clean sounding cab compared with all the other cabs I’ve had over the years, I haven’t tried the two 10s yet but I probably would if one came up local, just not sure it could put out the same bass though
  8. Has anyone ever seen a B neck on a jazz bass, this is a new one on me for a 73 jazz
  9. Welcome marcos
  10. It does seem odd that you was told that it was sold and it’s still listed, all his ads read the same
  11. Stumbled across this, it did make me smile
  12. A bit of Sly and Robbie today, great bassline, Cool Dude
  13. 10 years ago I knew people that were collecting 60s and 70s fenders so I wouldn’t say they were undesirable, obviously not as popular as they are now
  14. Nice one , your reggae gigs will love that 👌
  15. Nice job, couldn’t you just put a cover over the compartment or a battery box just to fill the hole
  16. I’ve just had a look and realised ..there really is frets above the 12th 😁
  17. Thanks ,Yeah, I kinda recognise the Bassline and you can just hear some lyrics in the background but don’t know the song
  18. I’ve been going through just about everything U Roy did recently ,and I know quite a few of the original songs but I don’t recognise this one, I’ve exhausted my search, any ideas anyone
  19. Welcome Simon
  20. Really liking this with the Swedish rapper Papa Dee who I only recently heard of, it’s a great album and has a version of one of my all time favourite tunes on which is , A Little W ay Different, the great Flabba on bass
  21. He’s a member here but doesn’t visit very often
