  1. Great setup spyder, they do have a lovely tone, I really should use mine more often
  2. They do look good don’t they, there’s another one I see called Flight mini JB , but they are quite a bit more expensive, great looking little things though, lately I’ve gone from looking at 1965 jazzes to mini basses 😁
  3. Welcome Kees
  4. Very cool, looks great
  5. Nice one, thanks for that JLP, they look pretty good, does a normal pickguard fit them
  6. Great service, well done 👍
  7. Thread revival here instead of starting one, im looking at getting a mini bass and wondering what the squier P is like as my limited experience with squier wasn’t good, I also really like the sunburst mini JD jazz, anyone tried one, and did any flats fit these
  8. Nice bit of Cornell Campbell today
  9. Nice one Rob, I’ve got the 500 which apart from the power is the same I think, I had ashdown for years but I’m now ampeg apart from this, I find them a very versatile amp and really like the shape option , very quiet fan too, look forward to hearing what you think
  10. I went back a few pages and they seem to play ok on iPad
  11. Mine seemed ok mr t, but I’ve only done one today
  12. Taxi riddim
  13. Sometimes it can be just a loose tuner, maybe try holding each one in turn just to eliminate if it’s them, I’d try the same with the bridge saddles, I’m guessing it’s probably something simple, it can be annoying though, good luck
  14. Yeah looks fine, my favourite strings, they are great
  15. I’d say not legit , too good to be true La Bella 760FL Deep Talkin' Bass Flatwound Bass Strings - Light SALE £13.79 Regular price£45.95
  16. Linval Thompson day today
  17. Thanks Frank, I’m just listening to them now, love their basslines
  18. Pat Kelly, it’s a good day
  19. Just released on bandcamp, samsara collective
  20. Same here apart from the squires and the US ones are definitely the best imo
  21. Haven’t posted here as I’ve been away for a few days and couldn’t always get a signal, was listening to quite a bit of the Gladiators and Lloyd Parks playing on this is great , there’s a dub version too
  22. If I was to have one refinished I’d probably go for a nitro very light relic so in time it would age naturally, some from around those years are in very good condition and some are quite worn, I suppose it would depend on how well it’s been looked after and how much it was used, my 71 precision had one owner before me and he played it a lot for many years, it’s quite worn but still plays great, also I think you can also find that some have been aged unnaturally
  23. Hi, yes 74 would be a poly finish, if you look in the neck pocket you can sometimes see what colour it originally was
  24. Nice setup NJE,congrats , very good amps aren’t they, I used to use mine with 2 markbass 15s , but now I use a big baby 2, I find the shape button really useful
