  1. And for home practice they are totally silent, no fan noise
  2. Did they ever get anyone for that
  3. I remember something like that, wasn’t it around the same time as a Tyson fight
  4. Nice one, they are a great amp and I wouldn’t part with mine, look forward to seeing how you get on
  5. Think it might be because it’s really low
  6. I’m the same, I like to see it flush with the neck
  7. It’s the other end of the country, but you would definitely need to see it beforehand
  8. Yeah I don’t really know much about that side of things, what would you clean it up with, I suppose a metal cleaner on the hardware but what would be used for the body, you’d have to be careful with the finish I would guess
  9. Not a stupid question, I don’t know what it is either 😁
  10. Hi, I’ve had quite a few US jazzes and I don’t remember the standard one coming with blocks and binding , do you have any pics
  11. Thanks SM, that was the first question I asked when it was listed, haven’t heard back yet I couldn’t find anything about them really, bit before my time 😁, I wasn’t actively looking but I’m on their mailing list and it looked interesting
  12. Hi guys, what are you thinking on this , in need of cleaning and maybe some restoration as it’s been in storage for apparently 54 years 😧, what’s it worth and what would be the value once restored https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/david-duggleby-scarborough/catalogue-id-srda10703/lot-0e92cae3-582c-4775-9521-b06600ee80cd
  13. I remember it happening, it was a big day in the hip hop world, but I didn’t realise they never caught anyone until now
  14. Some slim smith for a Friday, this is the B side of The time has come , I believe it was the last single he did, nice Bassline
  15. I’ll dig more tomorrow, it’s great going through some of the old sound system info and footage
  16. I went through reggaepedia and sound system list and not much detailed info, but came across an interview here with Ras Muffet Ras Muffet has been a strong name for years with his Bristol-based Roots Injection Sound System. He was born to Jamaican parents in Bristol in the late 1950s and moved to Catford in Southeast London at the age of twelve, where he followed his cousin Neville The Musical Enchanter and started his sound system journey as a boxboy for Jah Shaka in the early 70s. Eventually, Muffet relocated in Bristol, where he now runs his studio and sound system and cuts loads of dubs on a regular basis
  17. I’ve heard a bit of Neville King but not much , I’ll have to check him out, looks like he played quite a few places, Im sure I went to the the Bali Hai back in the day , can’t quite remember Neville King spent: 13 years every Fri & Weds Resident at Shepard's Community Centre Brixton, 4 years every Tus & Thurs Resident at RACS Tooting, 5 years every Saturday Resident Bali Hai Streatham 5 years every Sunday afternoon at Clouds Brixton 6 years every Sunday evening Resident at Peckham Settlement, 21 years After 12am Mon to Fri Villa Road and various other Shoo-been in Brixton,
  18. I’m all valve Ampeg with a jazz or precision and don’t need anything else, in the studio sometimes I’m RM500 with an Ampeg preamp pedal which is easy to carry, but that’s it , I did go through a phase of trying various pedals but they were wasted on me, I don’t like drive or distortion ,i like a clean and deep sound which I get now
  19. I can’t speak for anyone else but I’m happy to pay more on subscriptions to support the site
  20. Same here, hope they resolve it , I’m sure they will
