  1. 😁, that’s always my follow up track Frank, so good , promised land just makes me want to pick up my bass
  2. Hi Marcus, I never use the tweeter on my bb2 it’s permanently off as I find it quite a clean sound anyway, have you tried it with it off and the treble up on your amp for the highs you want , do you still get the hiss
  3. I was going to do something similar a while back but I thought better of it as she might help me along the way quicker than I anticipated 😁
  4. Another purchase from clarky, some labella flats, super nice guy to deal with , many thanks, Tony 👍
  5. Very sad news, I didn’t know him personally but I’m sure we’ve spoke
  6. Yeah, as long as there’s no unsuspecting surprises I suppose it’s in the right ballpark for a decent one
  7. Have you thought about a jazz elite, I can’t fault mine, probably one of the best jazzes I have
  8. Great one t-h, I was playing an old favourite today
  9. So basically have I got my maths right on this ? bass sold for £2800 buyer premium 24% £ 672 vat on £672 £ 134.40 Total. £3606.40 it also says lots purchased online have an additional charge of the hammer price 4.95 plus vat
  10. I think so , perhaps someone could confirm Buyer`s Premium 24% + VAT Lots purchased online with the-saleroom.com will attract an additional charge for this service in the sum of 4.95% of the hammer price plus VAT at the rate imposed The symbol ** next to a lot number indicates that VAT is payable by the buyer at the standard rate on the day of the auction on the hammer price as well as payable as part of the Buyer's Premium.
  11. Just this minute sold for £2800 , not me

  15. If like me you are a Barrington levy fan watching this is a must, I was brought up with his music from around 1979 , a great interview by David Rodigan and you can see he is in his element, @SumOne I think you might like this, Rodigan’s reaction at 25.14 to Here I Come, says it all I also can’t not put this one up
  16. Having a break can definitely work, I’ve spent hours on some basslines trying to get up to speed unsuccessfully ,and I’ve come away from them sometimes for a few hours and sometimes for a couple of days, and when I’ve returned they just fall into place
  17. Lovely stub, i very nearly bought one of those a few weeks back, congrats
