  1. Welcome Ingo
  2. Looks like the E tuner has been been changed too, and the control plate doesn’t look that old
  3. Yeah definitely, I too like the deep tort original pickguards
  4. Great colour, really nice bass
  5. A 73 jazz has come up on reverb, it doesn’t look too bad , it’s had a new pickguard and brass nut fitted which looks out of line on my phone https://reverb.com/uk/item/73413676-1973-fender-jazz-bass-sunburst-fender-hard-shell-case
  6. The whole album is one of my favourites, along with Kaya and Uprising, I bought them all when they came out and I’ve still got them
  7. If we’re talking reggae basses, this is one I’d happily play
  8. Really loving the this, it’s the B side I’m looking for which is the instrumental and called Rock dem Riddim, but after a lot of searching it doesn’t seem to be available on digital only on vinyl
  9. It’s a bit difficult to value without knowing what is and what isn’t original, most people buying will ask for the normal information and pictures, which is pickup dates, pot dates and wiring etc, maybe get someone to do this for you if you’re not comfortable doing it
  10. Welcome Dallas
  11. Welcome Matthew, cool bass
  12. I’ve got everything I want really, but it doesn’t stop me looking 😁, got some gas at the moment for a 65 P
  13. They are well worth it Geek, i can definitely recommend getting one
  14. Lloyd Brevett the bassist, he was so good , good luck with your new band
  15. I’m learning this at the moment, it’s a pretty tricky one because as usual Robbie changes things around throughout, that’s the challenge
  16. I was trying to think back and I had a compilation cassette that had Axel F Everybody wants to rule the world and 19 by Paul hardcastle , this was the Top 40 best-selling songs of 1985, a few good ones in there
  17. I was well into Gregory isaacs Night Nurse then and was working in central London , walkman was on every single day , I had the one with the bass slider on the front, I literally wore a few cassettes out then
  18. Yeah he’s a great player and he’s got some nice basses, the 2 I like is the Left 1975 Right 1960
  19. I listened to an album today that I wasn’t familiar with, it’s by the Mighty Travellers and called Black Black Minds , it was out around 1977 and when I looked deeper it was sly and Robbie backing some of the songs , this was around the time of the Aggrovators and this one is backed by The High Times Band apparently , and Chris Meredith on bass I believe
  20. You did great there Dave, I had the notes down once but fell to pieces with it up to speed
  21. Your cover of rhythm stick is so good, I’ve attempted that many times but failed 😁
  22. For me it’s Earl Falconer, he’s a great bass player but certainty since UB40 parted ways they are dreadful, I’ve seen them many times and been backstage ,Signing Off is a great album and their best work ever
  23. Nice looking, I don’t think it will be there long
