  1. Driving to East Ham listening to some early paragons
  2. Welcome LP
  3. That would look good, similar to the Yamaha BB
  4. Came across this great track by Bunny Scott before he became the singer of Third World , he was also in the early line-up of Inner Circle
  5. You could be right , I’m no expert either but it looks right to me, it’s 4 ply and has what I think is an aluminium shielding plate on the back
  6. If all is working ok and there’s no problem with the neck it’s a nice find
  7. It’s worth experimenting with a few different offcuts of wood before gluing to get the closest match you can
  8. If you don’t mind me saying, the block is showing end grain so won’t match, you will find it hard to match exactly but will get closer if the grain is running the same way 🙂
  9. 57 is the precision 👍
  10. Underrated- Behringer ultrabass amps Trace Elliot cabs Overrated- Squier Jaco
  11. I wouldn’t say I’ve regretted buying anything as such, but I’ve lost count of the amps cabs and basses I’ve had, lots of them were my fault for not doing any research and just buying what I liked the look of, whichever basses I bought I always went back to a fender jazz or precision, so I now know exactly what’s good for me, and of all the amps I’m settled on the Ampeg sound, it’s all a learning experience and if you don’t try these things you’ll never know
  12. Looks like the 57 and 62 both had 250k pots , not sure about the cap though but a 66 I looked at had this cap
  13. Welcome Teller
  14. And for home practice they are totally silent, no fan noise
  15. Heard this recently and it took me way back in time
  16. Did they ever get anyone for that
  17. I remember something like that, wasn’t it around the same time as a Tyson fight
  18. Nice one, they are a great amp and I wouldn’t part with mine, look forward to seeing how you get on
  19. Think it might be because it’s really low
  20. I’m the same, I like to see it flush with the neck
  21. Yeah sure, no problem
  22. It’s the other end of the country, but you would definitely need to see it beforehand
  23. Yeah I don’t really know much about that side of things, what would you clean it up with, I suppose a metal cleaner on the hardware but what would be used for the body, you’d have to be careful with the finish I would guess
  24. Not a stupid question, I don’t know what it is either 😁
  25. Hi, I’ve had quite a few US jazzes and I don’t remember the standard one coming with blocks and binding , do you have any pics
