  1. That’s a stunner Admiral, congrats
  2. Nice work, I don’t really know any iron maiden ,I’d say most songs can be Reggaefied if you get the rhythm right, it seems that the ,Easy Star All Stars did ok out of covering pink Floyd with Dub side of the Moon
  3. One precision I bought with a maple fingerboard was a bit grimy, I used some of miss RB’s makeup wipes to clean it up as they don’t contain alcohol , and buffed it with an old T shirt
  4. Pretty sure I’ve read before that lemon oil is not good for maple boards, it’s mainly for the rosewood and darker ones
  5. Two for a Friday, first up is Sammy Dread Rainy Days, such a great voice and dub style scientist Beam Down, will be playing this Bassline tomorrow
  6. Good description Paul, that’s how I found it, playing reggae it really sounded better than the stock pickup , I also had the cap changed in my P to a 0.1 I think, to give me an even warmer sound , I get really nice lows now
  7. Linval Thompson and the roots radics 1979
  8. Hard to tell on my phone but could the scribble be Seymour ?
  9. I was going to look them up but I’m definitely not putting that into google 😀
  10. Never heard of them, good drum beat going on there Cato
  11. I suppose we are all different but I quite like some wear on the early fenders, my 71 has been heavily played and it shows it, but not abused, I looked at one that was mint condition and although it was really nice it seemed to lack any character, I don’t like it when the necks have damage though
  12. The wear looks like genuine play wear doesn’t it
  13. I can’t see it on eBay to see any closer pics, do the tuners look okay?
  14. Looks like it could be a nice project and if all is well with the neck and body I don’t think £1500 is too bad
  15. Is the truss rod and neck ok would be my question, early 70s ?
  16. I’ve got the tonerider in one of my precision’s Paul , it was big improvement on the standard mex P pickup, a lot cleaner sounding especially in the lows and highs, can’t remember what I paid but it wasn’t very expensive
  17. I do my own basic setups but if I needed anything more I’d probably contact our @gary mac
