  3. Hi Marcus, I use the barefaced big baby ll cab , I would highly recommend it , it’s got really deep clear lows perfect for reggae and dub , with an ashdown RM or my ampeg V4B, it was don chandler who put me on on to the BB , he uses 2 of them with the 1000w markbass ninja head

  9. I’ve had Beats Studio since they first came out and I’ve got the studio 3 now, I’ve never had any problems with any of them and that’s heavy use, they are pretty hard wearing , the solo ones can be a bit flimsy though imo
  10. I won’t have any amp now with a fan that’s why I only use valve amps, but I have kept my RM500 because it’s such a great amp and it’s almost silent, there’s a thread here that might help , don’t know if you’ve seen it
  11. My eldest is the same, he likes his reggae but also slipknot, I learned one of their basslines to show him, bit heavy for me 😁
  12. Gregory isaacs Bob Marley jimmy cliff augustus pablo And I can remember being at school listening to pink Floyd, which I still like to now and again mum and dad liked all different music really, Motown, reggae, dean martin, Neil diamond, and those awful albums called, Top of the Pops 😁
  13. Have you had a look through the cabs for sale here, there’s some good bargains there
  14. There’s a set of hofner Deep Talking Bass flats for sale on here, not sure if they are any good for you
  15. or don’t buy bright sounding flats, I asked Sean Hurley about his strings once and he does use Vaseline to dull down new flats
  16. Think there’s another listing for that one, it was advertised here on BC once https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325532901968?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Lx6f2ToJT1i&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=1wDkd4CjTIi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  17. I did buy a fender jazz once that was very sticky, but judging by the flat it was down to Chinese take away’s, kebabs, pizza and KFC, it did need a good clean 😁
