    I should add that I would wait a few days for it to settle if it’s come from abroad and been in the plane hold or a cold warehouse

    I don’t wait a month to set mine up, I do it almost immediately with my preferred strings which are labella flats ,and set up the bass to a nice low action

    I’ve had it many times, especially with some of Flabba Holt’s basslines, listen to the song and think it’s easy until you try it , most of the time it’s getting the feel and rhythm , shows how good some of these players really are
