  1. Nice Bassline on fools gold, sounds great 👍
  2. That’s well up there among my favourite tunes, great Bassline
  3. Was listening to some Freddie McKay today, nice dub at 3.42
  4. That’s nice, and the perfect colour combination
  5. A new one from Kubix, valess playing a nice Bassline, bit of a jazzy vibe going on I think in parts
  6. Has anyone found a decent clear sounding wireless headphone for transcribing basslines
  7. Heard this today on a reggae station I listen to
  8. Haven’t heard that in a long time, always remember the intro, so good , didn’t Rodigan used to use it as a jingle
  9. Try this t-h, various riddims and I think you can click on the samples , I’ve heard the Glen Washington one before https://www.reggaefever.ch/articleDetails?articleId=CD-1290
  10. Very similar Bassline to Freddie mcgregor tune
  11. Exactly, I didn’t know what they were about until I tried one, and then I totally got it
  12. I’ve done untold experiments with various foam mutes, (hence why there’s no washing up sponges left in the house 😁) we had another thread on it, but I haven’t done one under the bridge cover, can’t you leave the foam longer so you can pull it out easy , or if that mutes too much cut the bit sticking out up at an angle so it’s not touching the strings, kinda like this
  13. Really like this one from the Wailing souls , there’s another version with Alborosie but I think this is better
  14. The link wouldn’t work, it does look nice
  15. I like the earlier snoop and Dre but some of the newer tracks I find not so good
  16. Nice looking 66 precision came up on reverb in the uk, they saying it’s all original, I keep telling myself not to look 😁
  17. I’ve got D’addario tapes on 2 jazzes, probably around 7 years old now but still sound great and they’re really smooth now, I did buy the Fender black nylon tapewounds but they didn’t feel right, they were a bit tacky
  18. I made one for my old shell pink jazz that I put together as a project, I think they work quite well, I play with a fairly light touch so it wasn’t a huge difference but if for some reason you wanted to reduce digging in it would work
  19. I find the custom shop 1960 pickups very good and the noiseless ones in my jazz elite are really good, I’m not too sure on the electronics of those though as it’s an active jazz, but it has passive mode, would they work?
  20. Hi SH, I’ve got some original isolated drum tracks saved from Carlton Barrett which I use for playing over , don’t know if they are of any assistance to you, you might be able to break them down ..
  21. My drum skills are pretty much nil , stick with it I’m sure it will come
