  1. Kim, you are far too kind! Many thanks for the painless deal, and your very kind words! I'm very happy with the Dingwall, and all I have to do now is unlearn 40+ years of left hand technique! Thanks again and all the best! Cheers, Dave B.
  2. FS - KK Baby Bass, Classic model. Very good condition. £950 ovno. I bought this new in 2020, used for recording only, never been gigged or even taken out of the house. Has the perfect Ampeg Baby Bass vibe for Jazz, Latin, Blues, or whatever you like. Comes with original soft case. The reason for sale? I am an old timer approaching retirement, and it’s time to reduce my instrument inventory to a more sensible level. This is just one item from a large selection of gear that I’m letting go. This is not a small or lightweight item so collection in person only, or I could deliver/ rendezvous within 15 miles of Southend in Essex. Paypal preferred. Please PM with any questions.

  3. For sale - £750 ovno. Fender Roadworn Jazz Bass in Fiesta Red. This is actually a bitza, and is priced accoringly. To explain; I bought the genuine Fender Roadworn body some time ago from Stratosphere in the USA, intending to use it in a self-build project which I later abandoned as the neck I had wasn’t a good fit in the neck pocket. So then I bought the Fender Roadworn neck from Andertons, which was a perfect fit. I put on a set of Fender reverse wind machine heads, Fender pickups and Fender Hi-Mass bridge. The scratch plate is of unknown origin, and had been sitting in my spares box for years. The result is a very nice feeling and sounding bass. It’s currently strung with D’Addario Chromes and sounds exactly as it should. I have used it on a few gigs and been very happy. The neck is straight and true and there is zero fret wear. The reason for sale? I am an old timer pro player approaching retirement, and it’s time to reduce my instrument inventory to a more sensible level. I no longer want or need 5 Jazz Basses (?🤔?), so this was last in and first out. I would prefer collection in person, or can deliver/rendezvous within 15 miles of Southend in Essex. I will consider shipping at buyers cost. I should be able to find a case of some sort for it, and it will be in a proper bass guitar shipping box. PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
  4. Jason bought my EB3. it was a most pleasant and easy transaction. Very nice guy and knows a good deal when he sees one! Thanks Jason.
  5. Hi mate. Yes, that’s what attracted it to me in the first place, as well as its very light weight. I have no complaints at all about the bass but I really need some room so it’s last in, first out. Cheers, DB
  6. For sale; Hipshot Supertone 2 point Gibson style bass bridge in Chrome, used but in excellent condition. I bought this in error - duh - I needed the 3 point version. So I'm selling it on at a loss. New price £125. Will post to UK only. Grab a bargain!
  7. For Sale; UNUSED COMBINATION FLIGHTCASE, IT’S AS NEW!!! I really need to shift this asap. Someone give me £30 0r something? Odyssey FZ1004 DJ Combo Flight Case. Never used! I bought it recently for a project that has been abandoned. I didn't need the stock sloping top rack so did a quick conversion to make the top rack level (see pic), but it can be very easily reverted to it's stock sloping configuration if required. 4u front rack, 10u top rack, with removable rear access door for cables. Bag of rack nuts and bolts included. Normal list price £241, can be found at £152. Local pickup preferred. Can ship at buyers cost in original packaging, (cost to be calculated), but it's pretty heavy.
  8. Actually, the cab is very light for it's size. The neodymium speakers weigh very little, and although I'm no weightlifter I can easily lift it up on my own. Additionally it has wheels on the back like and SVT cab, so it's actually easier to move around than carrying a 4x10.
  9. Well, I would have thought so, I priced it to sell quickly. The whole rig is going for about the same price as a bass head, but no-one seems to be interested. Baffling! Thanks for your comment.
  10. Just bought a fab Mustang Bass from Nick. Super smooth deal. Thanks
  11. For sale - £500 Now £450..... can’t believe this hasn’t been snapped up! Not much for a fully pro 500w rig that's built like a tank! My much loved vintage Markbass rig, comprising one 6x10 cab and HT503 500w amp. All in used but decent condition, especially considering it's age. Thunderously loud when required, with excellent tone shaping capability. Very powerful, warm and rich bass tone. Cab comes with custom made Roqsolid cover (slight tatty but fully functional), and amp head is in a 3u flightcase. This dates back to before they went with the yellow speakers. Everything works as it should, and is just what you need to blow out the windows of the local village hall at your next rehearsal! I'm selling up loads of gear for space and the fact that I'm getting on a bit and don't need big, powerful gear any more. Obviously can't ship, but could deliver or rendezvous within 20 miles of Southend, Essex. Priced to sell quickly. PM me with any questions.
  12. For sale, now £900 now £850, ok final drop to £800 ovno. Ok, I lied.. this really is the final price drop; £750. Maruszczyk Jake 4P in excellent condition. 34" scale, ash body, maple neck and fingerboard, Maruszczyk pickup, passive. Totally minimalist bass, no bells and whistles, just a basic, very effective workhorse. Very light and comfortable to wear at just under 8lbs. Bought from Bass Direct in 2022. Includes Maruszczyk Gig Bag. Bass and bag both more or less as new and totally unmarked, having had very little use. One minor modification, I have removed the gloss from the back of the neck with a gently abrasive washing up pad, which makes the neck feel much smoother and faster. (I’m sure it cold be polished back to gloss if anyone really needed to!). Currently strung with D’Addario Chromes. Reason for sale; I am a pro player who is approaching retirement and I've now reluctantly decided to reduce my collection down to just the few basses I use regularly. (See my other ads for Gibson EB3 and Yamaha SLB200 EUB, now both sold). Can ship to UK only. Sensible offers considered. Updates - (Thanks to Obrienp!) - The neck is D shape Jazz bass style (like '70's Fender), width at nut 1.5". Dot markers on side of fingerboard but not on the front. This bass is so minimalist it hurts! There is nothing on this bass that isn't essential. Also, NB..... having got the bass out to measure the nut I'm reminded of how nice it is. I'm considering withdrawing it from sale............ 🤪 So get in quick...........you have been warned.
  13. Hi Terry, it’s 30” short scale. The 34” version is called EB3L. Hope this helps, Cheers!
  14. The time has come to let my trusty SLB200 go, but I'm not going to give it away! Possible final price drop to £1600. Very compact and portable when packed into it’s case. There are inevitably a few small knocks, and one larger scratch on the back caused by me hurriedly putting it back on a stand during a quick instrument change. (See pic). Reason for sale; I am a pro player who is approaching retirement and I've now decided to thin my collection down to just the few basses I use regularly (Mostly bass guitar these days). Prefer collection in person, but could meet within 20 miles of Southend. Could ship to UK mainland only. Offers/trade considered. Please PM me if you have any questions.

  15. This is a very nice example of this classic hollow body bass. As used by Ronnie Lane of The Small Faces. Extremely good condition, for a 52 year old instrument. Some small scuffs and minor buckle rash but nothing big enough to show up on photos. Very nice grain figuring on back and front, plus the unique tortoise shell headstock facing. 2 gold foil DeArmond pickups. Plays extremely well. Very true neck with low action and good frets. Only non original parts are the control knobs, plus the chrome bridge cover is missing. Collection in person recommended. Reason for sale; I am a pro player who is approaching retirement and I've now decided to thin my collection down to just the few basses I use regularly. (Although I would consider a trade plus cash your way for a Rickenbacker 4003s Maple Glow….. just don’t tell the wife. GAS is a terrible thing!) Please PM me if you have any questions.
  16. Indeed he did! Not only that, I believe he turned down an offer to join Frank Zappa! That’s how good he was/is!
  17. Now £1500!! - £1400 - £1300! or close offer!! £1200.00ovno. (This really is the last price drop, I'd rather keep it than give it away). This is a 1973 Gibson EB3 bass. It was originally cherry red but has faded to more of a walnut colour over the years. It plays and sounds really good, with a lovely neck, decent action, negligible fret wear and everything works as it should. At some point in the distant past, before my time, it sustained some damage around the jackplug area, which caused the cracking (see photo) (Possibly caused by someone tripping on the guitar lead?). However, this has been very robustly, (but maybe not very prettily?) repaired, is solid as a rock and has zero impact on the playability or sound. I have personally used this bass in major recording studios (e.g. Olympic, British Grove), and it delivers exactly the sound one would expect from this classic bass. There's a bit of buckle rash and a few dinks and scuffs, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a 50 year old instrument. This is a players bass, not a pristine museum piece. This model would normally sell for at least £2K and up, but with the aforementioned damage I'm pricing it down for a quick sale. I can ship within the UK, but I would recommend trying the bass first. If you're in the market for a vintage EB3 but not ready to shell out megabucks, this could be your answer. Reason for sale; I am a pro player who is approaching retirement and I've now decided to thin my collection down to just the few basses I use frequently. Please PM me if you have any questions. Cheers! P.S. Reasonable offers considered.
  18. It is a seriously well built and gereat sounding amp.
  19. Hello! Yes indeed it is, although I'd resigned myself to the idea that it wasn't going to sell, amazingly, as it's such a great amp! Lemme know if you're interested. Cheers, Dave B (Leon C 2)
  20. Matt just bought my Ray35. Top chap to deal with and a totally painless transaction. Recommended! Thanks Matt
  21. Thanks Nick, back at you! All the best. Dave
  22. Nick very kindly removed a huge double bass case from my posession, which made my wife's day! An absolute pleasure to do business with him, thoroughly decent chap. Thanks Nick, I hope the case serves you well! Cheers, Leon C
